Adding a new coffee is a card now: it takes shape as you type, in three short chapters — identity, details, your take — and the button tells you what's missing. Dark-mode and Arabic layout polish throughout.
1.3.0 Sep 4
This update brings a smoother, more reliable Hawas:
• Activity indicator: A subtle dot on the Activity tab signals new updates from people you follow, and clears the moment you view them.
• Dependable sync: Your collection and notifications now sync reliably, even on Low Data Mode.
• Notification catch-up: Missed notifications appear as soon as you open the app — not only when you tap a push.
• Privacy, truly enforced: Hiding your leaderboard rank, collection, or activity, or excluding your profile from search, now takes full effect and persists.
• Rate as you add: Adding a new coffee now includes a quick star rating, enriching the experience for fellow coffee lovers.
• Refined cards: Coffee cards now carry the Hawas identity, giving shared screenshots a more polished look.
Along with performance improvements and various refinements for a smoother experience.
1.2.7 Jul 8
• Sharper scanning: the scanner now reads the coffee’s actual name instead of the roaster’s slogan, so products are recognized more accurately.
• Fixed the “Optional Details” section on the add-coffee screen — the whole row now expands on tap, not just the arrow.
• Browse flavors in your language: a redesigned flavor browse with a native Arabic flavor taxonomy, not just a translation.
• Public profiles now show your bio and @username.
• Reviews: tap a reviewer’s avatar to open their profile, tap a review photo to view it full-screen. Edited reviews update instantly in the activity feed, and the rating number stays on one line on smaller screens.
• Activity reactions: you can now switch your reaction, and your own reaction always shows correctly.
• More reliable sync: fixed errors that could cause duplicates or leave some collected coffees missing.

Scanning feels more alive
• A refined “analyzing” animation and a new little celebration the moment a coffee is unlocked.

1.2.1 Jun 5
Brew like a pro — personalized recipes
Get a brewing recipe tuned to your grinder, your taste, and how strong you like it — for V60 and espresso, hot and iced. Recipes now adapt to each coffee’s character (bright & fruity vs. sweet & rich) instead of one-size-fits-all, and you can set your amount by cup size or coffee weight.
See how the community brews it
Every coffee now shows how fellow coffee lovers brew it best — V60 or espresso — right on the card. Tried both? Recommend both.
Richer cards
Ratings and “discovered by” now appear on every card across the app, even locked ones — plus crisp new V60 and espresso icons throughout.
Refreshed profiles
Cleaner personal and public profiles with X-style follower/following counts, and quick-access cards for your Favorites, Wishlist, and Recipes.
Polish & fixes
Smoother Arabic layouts, tap-anywhere to dismiss the keyboard, a friendlier notification sound, and fixes to follower/following lists, streaks, and notifications — with performance and reliability improvements throughout.
