Rockhound helps you find rocks, name them, and keep track of every find. IDENTIFY ROCKS AND MINERALS Take a photo of a rock or mineral. Rockhound tells you what it most likely is. 212 CHECKED ROCKHOUNDING SITES The Hunt map shows collecting sites across the US. Each site lists its source, the date we last checked it, the rules, and directions. Sites are free for everyone. Always check local rules before you dig. HUNT TOGETHER Start a group hunt at a site and send one link. Group hunts for up to 3 people are free. Friends and family join with Sign in with Apple. Everyone sees each other on the map, and each find shows as a pin for the group. When the hunt ends, share one picture of the day. TRACK YOUR HUNTS Start a hunt and Rockhound records your route with GPS. Mark the spot where you found each specimen. BUILD YOUR COLLECTION Keep every find with its photo, ID details, location, and your notes. Share a find card with one tap. ROCKHOUND PRO Your first 3 identifications are free. Pro adds: • Unlimited rock identifications • Hardness, formula, and safety notes • Alternative matches for tricky rocks • Identify from photos you already have • Group hunts with up to 30 people Pro is billed weekly, monthly, or yearly, or once for lifetime access. Payment is charged to your Apple ID. Subscriptions renew unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. Manage them in your Apple ID settings. Developer Response
Thanks for the honest review. You were right: Arizona had no sites back then. The app now shows 22 checked Arizona collecting sites on the Hunt map, from Apache tears near Superior to fire agate and geode beds. Each site has a source link and the collecting rules. Please give it another look, and write to hello@getrockhound.com if we missed a good spot.Update: we have created over 200 hunts for family and friends :-)
