Rain notifications are now enabled

Better rain alerts. Alerts now arrive only when rain is 15 minutes away or less, and only after two radar scans in a row agree, so there are fewer of them and they're more reliable.

A more accurate Minutecast. • Fewer false alarms. We removed two shortcut rules that often predicted rain that never came. Minutecast now forecasts from how the rain on the radar is actually moving. • A clearer next 15 minutes. The first 15 minutes now come from the wide-area radar, which sees more of the rain approaching you. • Honest confidence. You get a firm countdown when the radar backs it up; when it's less sure, Minutecast says "Rain possible" instead. • Better rain alerts.
