CodeContextPacker is a native macOS developer utility for selecting source files and combining them into one clean, structured text context. Copy the result to the clipboard, then paste it into the conversational AI tool of your choice.

■ Select only what you need
- Open a project folder and browse its source structure as a hierarchical tree.
- Include individual files or entire folders in the context.
- Search relative paths to find files quickly in large projects.
■ A clear, AI-ready format
- Combine selected files as readable plain text with a relative-path header before each file.
- Copy the completed context to the clipboard in one action.
- For very large selections, the on-screen preview may be shortened to stay responsive, while Copy still includes the complete selected context.
■ A source-friendly preview
- View language-aware colors for Swift, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, PHP, JSON, shell scripts, HTML, CSS, and several C-family languages.
- Read every character in a monospaced layout with selectable text and smooth vertical and horizontal scrolling.
- Preview colors are for readability only; copied output remains portable plain text.
■ Responsive large-project workflows
- Large folder selection, context building, and search run separately from interface updates to reduce stalls.
- Long context builds show progress and can be cancelled.
- If a build is cancelled or fails, the previous completed preview remains available.
■ Recent projects and keyboard control
- Reopen up to five recent projects from the welcome screen.
- Navigate the tree with the arrow keys and press Space to include or exclude the focused item.
- Press Command-R to refresh and Command-Shift-C to copy the completed context.
■ Local-only processing
- Project scanning and context building happen on your Mac.
- CodeContextPacker does not send source code to an external server or upload it to an AI service.
- The app receives read-only access only to folders you choose and never modifies source files.
- Generated directories, binary files, symbolic links, and files larger than 5 MB are excluded automatically.
CodeContextPacker does not include an AI model or chat service. You decide where to paste the context after copying it.
