SuperTransSub
SuperTransSub is a macOS app for creating and translating subtitles locally.
It can:
- Transcribe video or audio into srt subtitles using an embedded whisper engine.
- Translate existing srt subtitles between languages using a bundled on-device MNN LLM model.
- Export clean subtitle files, optionally including both original and translated lines.

Modes
- Video/Audio
- Input: video or audio file
- Output: srt
- The app extracts audio when needed, transcribes it, then (optionally) translates.
- Subtitle File
- Input: srt
- Output: srt
- The app translates the subtitle lines and exports a new subtitle file.
Getting started
1. Open SuperTransSub.
2. Choose a Mode.
3. Click Select to pick your Input file.
4. Click Select output path to choose where to save the srt file.
5. Choose Source and Target languages.
6. (Optional) Enable Include original to export bilingual subtitles.
7. Click Start.
