A missing accent is forgiven. • Difficulty grows with you: a word you get right comes back later in a harder exercise; a word you miss comes back the very next day. • "I already know it": on a new word, pass the challenge and it won't come back for a month. • Tougher questions, both ways: from the language you're learning into yours, and from yours into it. • Japanese: show kanji, kanji with kana above, or kana only. What's new in 5.22 • One rare card a day: once a day, an uncommon word slips in among your new words, with its definition on the back. • Fresh words in every lesson: no more lessons without a new word, and the longer you play, the more you discover. • Word of the day on your screen: a Home or Lock Screen widget with one word a day, in several languages. • No more false errors: two cards for the same word no longer land in the same round, so a right answer always counts. • Library: tap a word to see its full card (translation, hint, definition, pronunciation). • Bug fixes and improvements.

Flash sessions: 15 s or 30 s Short on time? Pick a Flash session and learn a few words in the time it takes to unlock your apps. Same games, same words, same rewards only the timer changes. Available during onboarding and in your settings. Under the hood • Your progress is saved more reliably when the dictionary updates in the background: if you start a lesson during an update, the lesson waits for it (a few seconds at most); if an update arrives during a lesson, it waits until you're done. • If the app is closed while your progress is being uploaded, the upload resumes automatically the next time you open it.

Automatic dictionary updates Your dictionary now updates itself in the background when you open the app, no more switching languages or reinstalling to get the latest vocabulary updates. Quiet and seamless: nothing changes on screen, never during a session, and the app works exactly as before when offline.

The entire wardrobe has been redrawn: 31 accessories, sharper and more charming from the beret to the baguette. Three UX improvements in this update: • A notification warns you 1 minute before apps re-lock — finish whatever you're reading or typing in peace. • Flashcards are now flippable both ways (front ↔ back). Glosso can now die. Skip lessons for 3 days and your mascot slowly fades — pale cheeks, drooping eyes, a single tear before the end. Come back in time to save it.
