Multiple List Types Grocery - For food and household shopping with categories like Produce, Dairy, Meat, Bakery, Frozen, Beverages, Snacks, Canned Goods, Condiments, and Other Shopping - For general retail shopping with categories like Clothing, Electronics, Home & Garden, Health & Beauty, Sports, Toys, Books, and Other Travel/Packing - For trip preparation with categories like Clothing, Toiletries, Documents, Electronics, Accessories, Medications, and Other To-Do - For tasks and errands with categories like Work, Personal, Home, Health, Finance, Shopping, and Other 2. List Management Create unlimited lists with custom names Set optional budgets for shopping lists Track list status: Active, Completed, or Archived Archive old lists to keep your main view clean Delete lists you no longer need 3. Item Management Add items with name, quantity, unit, price, and category Check/uncheck items as you complete them Edit item details anytime Swipe left to delete items Items are automatically grouped by category Unit options adapt based on your metric/imperial preference 4. Budget Tracking Set a budget when creating or editing any list See real-time progress bar showing spending vs. budget Color-coded warnings: Green: Under 80% of budget Yellow: 80-99% of budget Red: At or over budget Optional push notifications at 80%, 90%, and 100% of budget 5. List Sharing Generate an 8-character share code for any list Share the code via: Copy to clipboard Device's native share menu (text, email, etc.) Others can join your list by tapping "Join a Shared List" and entering the code All members can view and edit the shared list in real-time Stop sharing anytime to revoke access (tap share button → "Stop Sharing") Push notifications when others modify shared lists (add, update, remove items) Navigation Tabs Lists Tab (Home) Shows the List Pal Pro logo and name in header View all your active lists as cards Each card shows: list name, type icon, item count, budget progress (if set) "Join a Shared List" button to enter someone else's share code Floating "+" button to create new lists Tap any list to view/edit its items Archived Tab View completed/archived lists Unarchive lists to make them active again Delete old lists permanently Empty state message when no archived lists exist Profile Tab Profile Picture - Tap to change from camera or photo library Display Name - Shows "List Pal Pro User" as default Preferences Section App Settings Section Information Section Footer - Shows app logo, name, and tagline Profile Settings (Detailed) Preferences Budget Alerts (Toggle) Get notified when approaching list budgets Triggers at 80%, 90%, and 100% thresholds Requires Notifications to also be enabled Use Metric Units (Toggle) When ON: Weights display in kg, g, ml, L When OFF: Weights display in lbs, oz, fl oz, gal App Settings Theme (Tap to select) Light - Always light mode Dark - Always dark mode System - Follows your device's setting (default) Notifications (Toggle) Enable/disable all push notifications First toggle requests device permission Required for budget alerts and shared list updates
