Add Shopping Items Your Way Type "2 cups flour" into a shopping list and Ghee picks out the amount, unit and food that match your Mealie server, highlights them as you type, and saves them as real fields, with the food's label. Anything it does not recognize is saved as a note, like before. Want more control? Tap the expand button in the Add Item sheet for a full form like the one in Mealie: amount, unit, food, label and note. Ghee remembers which form you used last. Editing an item now keeps its amount, unit, food and recipe link. Stay Logged In for Good Mealie ends every sign-in after a set time, 48 hours by default on Mealie 3.25 and newer, so if you did not open Ghee for a couple of days you had to log in again. With Stay logged in turned on, and always with single sign-on, Ghee now stays signed in until you log out. Linked Ingredients on Every Step If you link ingredients to steps in Mealie, Ghee now shows them right above each step, so you can see what goes in without scrolling back up to the ingredient list. In cook mode, tap an ingredient on a step to mark it as gathered. Anything you already checked on the ingredient page shows as checked on every step that uses it. Log What You Cooked Made a recipe today? Tap "I made this today" in the recipe menu or the button below the last instruction step. Ghee adds a "made this" entry to the recipe's timeline in Mealie and updates the last-made date shown on the recipe. Automatic Logging From Cook Mode The first time you finish cook mode, Ghee asks whether it should log the recipe for you every time. Say yes and every cook mode session marks the recipe as made today. You can change your answer any time in Account under Cooking. Mealie 3.25 Compatibility Mealie 3.25 changed how sessions are refreshed. If Ghee started logging you out after updating your server, this release fixes that. Older servers keep working as before. Shopping Lists That Work Without Signal Lost signal in the store? Your shopping lists now stay on screen instead of turning into an error. They are saved on your phone, so they open even when you launch Ghee with no connection, with a note showing when they were last updated. Ghee Pro lets you check items off while offline, and your changes sync to your server as soon as you are back online. No More False Offline Mode One slow request used to switch the whole app into offline mode until you refreshed. Ghee now double-checks that your server is actually unreachable before going offline, and reconnects on its own when it comes back. Download Your Whole Library The new Manage Downloads screen saves your entire recipe collection to your phone in one action, with progress, cancel, and a size readout. Photos and step images come along, so recipes read the same offline as online. Find it in the Account tab under Offline Recipes. Downloading your whole library requires Ghee Pro; without Pro you can still keep up to 15 recipes offline. Full Offline Browsing Search, sort, category and tag filters, and favorites now work on your downloaded recipes when you are offline. Downloads That Stay Current Manage Downloads flags recipes that changed on your server or are missing images, and updates them all in one tap. Add to Meal Plan from the Recipe Screen No need to switch to the Meal Plan tab anymore. Open a recipe's "..." menu, choose Add to Meal Plan, pick a day and a meal, and it shows up in your plan right away. Recipe Editor Improvements The editor now scrolls to the ingredient or section you are adding or editing, so it never hides behind the keyboard. Food, unit, and tag search now shows the closest matches first. Ghee now requires Mealie server version 2.0 or newer. Request Timeout Setting If your Mealie server is behind a slow reverse proxy, you can now adjust the request timeout in Account settings (5 to 300 seconds). Meal Plan, Grouped by Day The week view now groups each day's meals together (breakfast, lunch, and dinner per day) instead of all breakfasts, then all lunches - matching Mealie's web layout. Switch back to grouping by meal type anytime from the new "..." menu in the week nav bar. On iPad, a single visible meal type lays out in a 2-column grid.
