NEW IN 1.5
Three new places where space hides:
Xcode install deltas. The cache Xcode keeps so apps reinstall
faster on iPhone and iPad. Nothing ever clears it and it grows
without limit. On one developer Mac it had quietly collected 13 GB.
Apple Watch debug symbols. watchOS device support data, alongside
the iPhone and iPad symbols already covered.
VS Code extensions. VS Code leaves every previous version on disk
when it updates, so seven copies of the same extension is normal.
Expand the item and use "Select old" to remove only the superseded
versions. The current version of each extension stays untouched.
The CocoaPods item now covers the whole folder, including the index
backups it used to miss. That alone was over 2 GB that appeared
nowhere before.
FIXED
Sizes now update the instant you clean. Folders that take a while
to measure had their size reused for 24 hours, which meant the
folder you had just emptied was the one that never refreshed.
A folder deleted in Finder or Terminal no longer shows its old size
the next time the app opens.
The Trash alert no longer promises what it cannot do. Reclaim Space
moves files to the Trash, but sandboxing prevents any app from
emptying it. The alert now says plainly that you need to empty the
Trash in Finder to actually free the space.
ALSO
The amoraleite logo now animates on launch, the same opening as the
other apps.
Maximum effort!
