A BIGGER, CLEARER GAME ON IPHONE Jigsawly was laid out for iPad and then shrunk to fit a phone, so everything was about half size with a third of the screen left empty down the sides. Phones now get their own layout: the game fills the screen and everything is far easier to see. A BIGGER PUZZLE BOARD The board uses much more of the screen, and the pieces either side of it have room to spread out. LEVEL CARDS YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ Each level now shows its name, piece count, difficulty and stars at a comfortable size. YOUR FINISHED PICTURE, FRONT AND CENTRE Complete a puzzle and the picture you just put together fills the screen, with your stars and rewards beside it. Tap View to see it larger still. TIDIER THROUGHOUT The home screen is centred and less crowded, the avatar and profile screens line up properly, and the clock sits square over the board with your piece count above the lives.

New pieces, new sound, and a new look. PROPER JIGSAW PIECES Every piece is cut fresh with round, interlocking heads — the shape you know from a real boxed puzzle — and no two pieces are cut the same. ALL-NEW MUSIC AND SOUND Four original tracks, one for each part of the game, that change as you move between the home screen, the maps and a puzzle. Every sound effect has been remade, and there are new ones for hints, lives and setting a piece down. MUCH MORE ROOM ON IPHONE The board and the piece trays now use the full width of the screen instead of a narrow strip down the middle, so pieces are easier to see and pick up. LOOK AT YOUR FINISHED PUZZLE Tap View Picture when you complete a level to see the artwork full size, then carry on when you are ready. A NEW APP ICON Say hello to the cat. Plus the Story mode timer is gone for good, and the level badge no longer overflows once you pass 99.

Two things you asked for. PINCH TO ZOOM Pinch anywhere on the play area to zoom right in on the puzzle, and drag an empty space to move around. Double tap to snap back to the whole board. Handy for lining up the last few pieces on a big puzzle. ROTATE PIECES ON TAP A new switch in Settings. Tapping a loose piece turns it 90 degrees — if you would rather that never happened, turn it off and your pieces stay exactly where you put them.

Story Mode is now a journey. Every puzzle you complete restores one of Gran Marlowe's photographs and unlocks a page of her travel journal — an unfolding mystery across five chapters, each with its own hand-painted scene and a keepsake for your album.
