Math Racer 2026
Education
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Turn math practice into race day. Math Racer 2026 is a fast, friendly way for kids aged 6 and up to sharpen their arithmetic — wrapped in the speed, strategy, and spectacle of Formula 1.
Answer correctly to power your car down the track and beat your rival to the line. The faster and more accurate you are, the quicker you go.
A NEW RACE EVERY WEEK
Follow the season. Each Grand Prix brings a fresh circuit and flag, plus a Weekend Briefing with circuit facts and last year's real race and qualifying results.
RACE YOUR WAY
Race Now: One tap from the Paddock — 20 laps at this week's circuit. No setup.
Driving School: Learn the facts on flashcards, beat the Reaction Test, then beat the instructor in Lane Racer. Graduate all three to earn your Superlicence badge.
Grand Prix Weekend: Practice, qualify for pole, then take on Race Day.
Free Practice: Pick 25, 50, or 100 laps. A finished 100-lap session can go on the Free Practice leaderboard.
1v1 Multiplayer: Challenge a friend with a simple 4-digit room code.
TWO LEADERBOARDS
Climb Free Practice and Grand Prix. One best score per Grand Prix, per math operation. Every row names the circuit. Lane Racer stays in Driving School and is not on a public leaderboard.
STRATEGY ON TRACK
In Grand Prix, build OVERTAKE energy and deploy ACTIVE AERO (DRS) to surge ahead. The questions get tougher when you do.
GROWS WITH YOUR RACER
Four difficulty tiers, from Karting to F1, keep things challenging from age 6 to 12 and beyond. Choose Adaptive to let the race get harder as you improve, or Locked to stay at one level. Customize your car in the Garage and track your progress race after race.
The app is free, with no ads and no in-app purchases. Every mode is open from the first tap.
Lights out, and away we go.

Welcome to the Singapore Grand Prix! Free Practice and the Grand Prix weekend now race under the lights at Marina Bay, with a new trophy to win in the cabinet.
New: Team Radio
- Stuck on a question? Miss it twice and your race engineer radios in the answer. Type it in to keep racing.
- That fact comes back three questions later, so you get another go at it on your own.
- In Driving School, a missed flashcard now shows its answer so you can type it before moving on.
- Prefer to race without help? Switch Team Radio off in the Garage.
Cleaner racing screen
- A wrong answer now just turns red for a moment, so the screen stays calm and you can try again straight away.
- The answer turns green when you get it right.
Fixes

ROUND 15: BAKU
The Grand Prix heads to the Baku City Circuit, a street track through the heart of Azerbaijan's capital. Race Now, Free Practice, the Weekend Briefing and the Grand Prix all move to Baku, from the tight squeeze through the medieval Old City to the two-kilometre straight along the Caspian Sea.
THE GRAND PRIX, OPEN TO EVERYONE
You no longer need a Superlicence to race a Grand Prix weekend: every driver can race it all, from Practice to Race Day. Driving School is still there to sharpen your maths, and graduating now earns the Superlicence badge in your Trophy Cabinet.
THE TROPHY CABINET
Finish a Grand Prix weekend to win a trophy for your cabinet: bronze for reaching the flag on Race Day, silver for beating the bot, and gold for pole and the win. Badges mark the big moments too, from your first win to 1,000 laps. And a win now counts the moment your last answer lands, even if the bot crosses the line a split second later.
DAILY STREAK
Finish a race, clear a flashcard stage or complete a Lane Racer run each day to build your streak. Every seven days earns a pit stop that saves your streak if you miss a day, and your streak turns bronze, silver, gold and purple as it grows. Find it at the top of the Trophies page in the Garage.
WATCH YOUR MATHS GROW
Math Racer now remembers every fact you race and tells you when you get faster, like "You got faster at 7 × 8". The Trophies page shows which facts you have mastered and which you are still learning, for every operation.
PERSONAL BESTS
Every Free Practice and Grand Prix session now saves your personal best on your device, with a NEW PERSONAL BEST moment when you beat it, and your best sits above the global leaderboard. Race Now gets its own leaderboard too.
1.3.15 Sep 22
ROUND 14: MADRID
The Grand Prix moves to the brand-new Madring street circuit. Free Practice, the Weekend Briefing and the Grand Prix all run on the new track, with a full-colour circuit map on the setup card.
MATH RACER ON iPAD
The app now fills the whole iPad screen. Race Weekend runs in landscape with the lap grid on one side and the question and keypad on the other, so Practice, Qualifying and Race Day all feel like a real pit wall.
RACE DAY, REBUILT
A cleaner Race Day HUD: the clock sits right above the keypad, the lap counter is always in view, and FINAL LAP flashes when it counts. Pause is gone on Race Day. Instead you can retire from the race with a proper DNF send-off, just like the real thing.
SUPERLICENCE
Earn your Superlicence by graduating Driving School: clear all 10 flashcard stages, beat 0.40s on the lights in the Reaction Test, and beat the instructor in Lane Racer. Finish all three and the Grand Prix unlocks with a one-time celebration. Race Now and Free Practice stay open for everyone.
DRIVING SCHOOL, FAIRER FOR YOUNGER RACERS
Flashcards now give a consistent, more generous time to score purple, so no card is randomly harder than the one before it. The Reaction Test target is a touch more forgiving. The 15-of-20 clear rule is unchanged.
1.3.14 Sep 10
ROUND 13 — WELCOME TO MONZA
The Temple of Speed hosts this week's race. Free Practice, Grand Prix and the Weekend Briefing are all themed to the real Monza circuit — sector map, corner numbers, rain odds and last year's results included.
• Live track map: watch your car lap the real Monza layout, from the start/finish line on the pit straight through the chicanes to Parabolica. Sector paint now hugs the track on every circuit.
STILL FRESH — THE DRIVING SCHOOL
• Driving School: clear all 10 flashcard stages, beat 0.33s on the reaction lights, then beat the instructor in Lane Racer to earn your SUPERLICENCE.
• Grand Prix weekends now require the Superlicence — graduate first, then race.
• Flashcards rebuilt: landscape cards, per-grade F1 sounds, a LAP counter, and stages cleared on a purple majority.
• Setup screens redesigned as a track path — every setting is a numbered station on the way to THE GRID.
• Free Practice: choose 25, 50 or 100 laps (full 100-lap sessions post to the leaderboard).
• New leaderboards: separate Free Practice and Race Day boards for every operation, with personal bests.
Plus a cleaner look across the app and under-the-hood fixes for the latest iOS.
1.3.13 Sep 2
Driving School
A new place to learn before you race. Ten flashcard stages (20 cards each — clear a stage with 15 purple and no reds), the Reaction Test, and Lane Racer. Lane Racer lives here now.
Superlicence
Graduate Driving School to earn it: finish every flashcard stage, beat 0.33 seconds on the lights, and beat the instructor in Lane Racer. Grand Prix stays locked until you have the Superlicence. Race Now and Free Practice do not.
Race Now
New one-tap race from the Paddock. Twenty laps at this week’s circuit. No setup.
This weekend
Dutch Grand Prix, Circuit Zandvoort.
Free Practice
Choose 25, 50, or 100 laps. Only a finished 100-lap session can appear on the Free Practice leaderboard.
Leaderboards
Two leaderboards: Free Practice and Grand Prix. Grand Prix scores come from Race Day only. You keep one best score per Grand Prix, per math operation (Addition is not ranked with Multiplication). Every row shows the circuit. Lane Racer is not on a public leaderboard.
1.3.12 Aug 19
Hungarian Grand Prix weekend
• Free Practice and Grand Prix move to the Hungaroring for Round 11 — race the twisty Budapest lap in Track view with the new Hungary live circuit map.
• Everything Is Purple badge. In Free Practice, complete a full circuit tour with every sector purple to unlock the Everything Is Purple badge in Racer Log. While it’s lit, your level label switches to ALL PURPLE.
• Clearer race progress. See which question you’re on during the race so you always know how far you’ve come.
1.3.11 Jul 24
Race with a Live Circuit Map.
- Choose Track or Sectors before you race. Track shows the new Live Circuit Map; Sectors keeps the classic sector squares.
- Move along the real circuit silhouette, with sector colors painting onto the path as you answer.
Difficulty engine redesign.
- Rebuilt the Adaptive difficulty curve so levels climb more smoothly from Karting to F1
- Recalibrated question ranges across the ladder for a fairer challenge at every step
- Added Locked Pro — same digit size as F1, with a snappier pace and tougher fact mix
- Adaptive soft-caps at F1; Pro stays an opt-in Locked choice
- Lane Racer series pace retuned so speed and question hardness rise together more evenly

1.2.1 Mar 12
Free Practice (free for everyone) — A 100-question session with adaptive difficulty and no penalties. Choose any operation and practice at your own pace. Difficulty adjusts dynamically based on your speed and accuracy. Complete all 100 questions to post your score on the Leaderboard, or end your session anytime.

PRE-SEASON TESTING — BAHRAIN
Continuous 57-lap testing cycles with dynamic difficulty adjustment. Press BOX to pit and review your full session log — stint-by-stint stats,
lap-by-lap breakdowns, and colour-coded sector performance. Scores are calculated automatically at the end of each cycle and submitted to the global
leaderboard.
GRAND PRIX — MELBOURNE
Experience a full F1 race weekend. Practice, Qualifying, and Race Day — all in one event. During Practice, difficulty adjusts in real time based on your
performance and locks in for the rest of the weekend. Beat the bot in Qualifying to earn Pole Position and a head start on Race Day. The Grand Prix
unlocks on March 5 — the opening weekend of the Australian Grand Prix.
GLOBAL LEADERBOARD
Compare your Pre-Season Testing scores against other players worldwide. Filter by operation (Addition, Subtraction, Multiplication, Division, Variables)
and climb the rankings. Accessible from the Garage.
NEW MODE SELECT SCREEN
Choose between Career, Grand Prix, and Pre-Season Testing from a dedicated mode hub before entering circuit selection.
SECTOR GRID
A new grid display replaces the progress bar in simulation races. Each cell is colour-coded by sector performance — purple for your fastest, green for
good, yellow for standard, red for track limits. The bot's progress bar also shows colour-coded sector telemetry so you can compare in real time.
DYNAMIC DIFFICULTY
A bidirectional difficulty system now powers Grand Prix Practice and Pre-Season Testing. Fast correct answers push you towards harder questions (up to
F1 level), while consecutive mistakes or slow sectors bring you back down — so the challenge always matches your skill.
