Study.Buddy 2.0 — a full redesign, and a lot more ways to study. NEW LOOK The whole app has been rebuilt with a brighter, more playful design that finally looks right in both light and dark mode. NEW STUDY MODES • Typed Recall — type the answer instead of tapping "I knew it." Typos won't count against you. • Cloze — fill-in-the-blank cards, generated from your own decks. • Reverse — flip any deck and study answer to question. LISTEN AND STUDY Have your summaries and flashcards read aloud, hands free. WIDGETS, LOCK SCREEN AND LIVE ACTIVITIES Lock Screen widgets for due cards and streak, a Control Center button that drops you straight into review, and a Live Activity that tracks your session on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. A SMARTER TUTOR Non-math subjects now get a step-by-step tutor that runs entirely on your device — nothing leaves your phone. Work the problem out on the Apple Pencil scratchpad and hand it to Buddy to check. BRING YOUR OWN DECKS Import Anki (.apkg), CSV and TSV decks, and export any session as an Anki deck or a printable PDF study guide. PROGRESS THAT STICKS Earn XP, level up, and keep your achievements permanently — a broken streak no longer takes your badges with it. New charts show your review history. BETTER REVIEWS Reviews now count toward your streak, overdue cards come first, tricky cards get flagged, and your due count and reminders stay accurate even when the app is closed. Plus a proper iPad layout with a sidebar, faster flashcard generation that streams in as it's written, and in-app tips to help you get started.

Search your whole library — sessions, sets, and the cards inside them. Add material straight from Home: scan, photo, PDF, or paste. Hard and Easy now schedule real spaced review from any deck, with accurate intervals. Paused a card by mistake? Undo it, or bring all your paused cards back. Tutor Mode can now generate practice problems on the spot. Tapping the widget takes you straight to your due cards. Fixes: the quiz score no longer gives away answers early, daily reminders repeat properly, dark mode now covers every screen, finished exams clear from your countdown, and Restore Purchases tells you what happened.

New in this update: Buddy Daily Mission for Pro: a focused daily plan built from your due cards, weak topics, courses, and upcoming exams. Improved Tutor Mode: snap or type a math problem and get guided hints step by step instead of just the answer. Better scan and import flow for documents, photos, PDFs, and pasted notes. More control after generation: edit summaries, flashcards, vocabulary, quizzes, and source text. Expanded Pro exports, including Markdown, CSV, Anki-ready flashcards, vocabulary, quizzes, and full session JSON. Smoother navigation, better iPad layouts, improved reminders, and general stability fixes.
