more I absolutely love VibeHawk! It has made finding local events in my city so effortless and fun. The interactive map is incredible for seeing what is happening nearby, and being able to buy tickets directly through the links in the app makes planning a night out seamless. It saves so much time compared to endlessly searching online. I have already recommended it to all my friends so they can discover events in their own cities too. Five stars all the way!

I really enjoy using VibeHawk, the ability to pick between different activities, prices and dates is awesome.

A cleaner map that’s easier to read.
The filter bar now doubles as the map’s legend: each category button wears the same colour as its pins, so you can tell sports from music at a glance. Your vibe has a button of its own at the front of the bar, in VibeHawk’s colours.
The aiming circle in the middle of the map now shows only while you move the map, and fades away when you stop, so nothing sits over the pins. When a stack of events fans out, a thin line ties each one to a dot right where it happens.
Tap a vibe on an event’s card and it joins the vibes you already have on, instead of replacing them.
Also new:
• A new directions button on event and venue cards
• The home button is now the familiar location arrow
• The date at the top has a small arrow, so it’s clear you can tap it
• Cards have a handle at the top: swipe down to close
• Share a show that runs on several dates and the link shows the whole run, unless you’ve picked a later date
• Links to a city open on this week’s events
• New to VibeHawk? The app opens on your city right away and asks for your location only when you tap the home button. While the map loads it says what it’s finding, then suggests where to start

Find free events with one tap.
A new Free button in the filter bar shows everything happening near you with no ticket required: outdoor concerts, gallery nights, street festivals and comedy open mics. It carries a live count of free events in view, and pairs with your vibe or category so you can find your scene at no cost.
Open a VibeHawk link to free events in any city (/discover/boston/free) and the app goes straight there, with free events ready on the map and listed in the card.
Landing cards for suburbs now list their own events directly on the card, keeping your view focused on what’s local.
Also new:
• The vibe button in the filter bar is now a compact circle, leaving room for Free beside Popular
• The helpful filter hint arrows now point to Free alongside categories, vibes and Popular
• Share any city or vibe page narrowed to free events
• Deep links to free events stay free even as you browse different vibes

Every event shows its vibe.
An event’s card now says what kind of night it is: Chill, Party, Epic, Funny, Social or Crafty. Tap it to see everything else with that vibe on the map, with the event you were looking at right in the middle.
Open a VibeHawk link to a city or a vibe (“Chill things to do in Boston”) and the app goes straight there, with everything on listed in a card that slides up over the map. A city’s card lets you browse it by vibe.
Browse by vibe in the list, too. Tap vibes on and off right above the events, and the list’s title says which ones you’re looking at.
Shows that run on several dates are simpler: the card leads with the one you’re looking at, with the rest of the run a tap away.
Also new:
• Open a link to a show and its card suggests more with the same vibe nearby that night, ready the moment it opens
• Tap Date in the list to pick the days it shows
• A link to a show that runs on several dates opens on the next one, not the first
• Venue cards have a new look: the name up top, a short intro you can tap to read in full, and directions a tap away
• Shows without a known price no longer say “—”: the price is simply left out
• A faint fade at the bottom of a card when there’s more to scroll
• Logos for Seattle, Houston, Toronto, Las Vegas, Montreal and Calgary teams

Two new vibes, and new art for every vibe.
Social and Crafty join Chill, Party, Epic and Funny. Social is trivia, book clubs, mixers and run clubs. Crafty is cooking classes, paint-and-sip and pottery. All six have new painted art in the vibe picker. Tasty and Active have retired: if you’d picked one, the map shows everything until you choose again.
Busy spots are easier to explore. Tap a pile of events and its first card opens, with every event in the pile laid out on the map above it, zoomed in as far as it takes. Swipe through them one by one. Every card in the pile is the same size, so the map holds still while you browse, and closing the card puts the map right back where you were.
Find every festival. Community has a new Festivals button, which also catches events with a festival in the name.
Know what’s about to start. A show beginning in the next three hours now counts down: “Starting soon · in 45 min” on its card, “In 45 min” in the list, and under its name when the map’s circle is on it.
Also new:
• This Week, Next Weekend and the other date choices show the dates they cover
• The list says when tickets go on sale
• Open a link to an upcoming show and its card suggests what else is on at the venue and nearby that day
• Piles with room to spread out open up on their own in the circle at the centre of the map
• The home button is now a house
• The zoom buttons are off by default. Turn them back on in Settings; pinch and double-tap still zoom
• Snappier map moves\
• Going back to an area you’ve just looked at shows it straight away, without loading again

VibeHawk has a new look.
A new logo: a hawk with its wings raised, beside the VibeHawk name, in one sweep from violet to pink. You’ll see it on your home screen, where the new icon is a white hawk on that sweep (with a dark version when your iPhone is in dark mode), and on a new launch screen while the app opens.
Crowded areas show more of what you picked. In a busy city the map can only fetch so many events at once. When you’ve picked a category, it now asks for just that category, so a wide date range reaches much further ahead before it runs out.
Also new:
• A thin outline on the buttons along the top of the map, to match the filter bar
• Hawk-eye arrows are easier to see on the dark map
Go find your night.

Your vibe now lives in the filter bar.
1.11 moves your vibe out of the corner of the map and down into the filter bar, where Date and Price used to sit. One tap changes it, and it says what you picked: “Chill Vibe”, or “2 Vibes”. Date is still one tap away at the top of the map.
No more quiz when you open the app. You start with every event on the map and pick a vibe when you want one. The vibe picker gets a Clear button, and it always tells you what it’s about to do: “Show all events” or just “Close”.
Sports is sorted by what’s actually on. The sports bar now shows Running, Hockey, Basketball, Fitness, Football, Soccer and Yoga, with new icons for the balls and a runner and a yoga pose to go with them. Baseball, Golf and Cycling still keep their icons on the map. Electronic music gets a new icon too: a mixing desk.
Crowded spots are easier to browse. Swipe through a busy corner and each venue is one stop, so you see its whole lineup in one place instead of stepping through six showtimes of the same show.
Followed a link to a show that’s already over? The card now tells you what’s coming up at that venue and nearby, so you can go straight to your next night out.
Tickets and the event’s website are now separate buttons. When an event has both, the card shows Tickets and Website side by side, so you can buy straight away or read up on the organizer first.

Your map stays where you put it.
- 1.10 fixes the map emptying itself when your phone lands a GPS fix after launch. Wake the app and your events are still on screen, right where you left them.
- Changing your vibe no longer leaves you looking at a blank map. New vibes clear the category filters that were picked under the old ones, so the map always has something on it. Your date, price and search stay put.
- Music pins now show what kind of night it is. A gig with one genre wears its own icon on the map instead of a plain note.
- Open a link to an event and close its card, and the map now opens out to the neighborhood around it instead of leaving you on one block.
- Saved Events matches the list view no: count beside the title, map button top-right.
- Tasty and Active vibes have fresh artwork.

Saved it? Now you won't miss it.
• Event reminders: get a notification two hours before a saved event starts, or at 9 AM on the day for all-day events. Turn them on or off in Settings.
• Two new vibes: Tasty for food trucks, pop-ups and tastings, and Active for group hikes, rec sports and 5Ks. All six vibes now fit the picker on every iPhone.
• Steadier pins: markers stop blinking while you pan.
• Cleaner fan-out: grouped events stay joined to their lines as you pinch to zoom.
• Tidier date and price filters, plus a pile of fixes.

Why pick one vibe when the night has several?
Tick Party and Chill together. 1.8 stacks your vibes and the map adds them up.
Repeating events now show their whole run up front: “Weekdays · 11:00 AM, Sep 14 – Oct 2, 15 dates”. Open it and pick any showtime, week by week.
A sharper hawk-eye. Line the crosshair up on a pin, a stack or a whole venue and it lights up, tells you what you’re aiming at, and opens it in one tap.
Easier to read at a glance: music events lead with their genre, popular nights burn as a red flame, and filter counts only count the pins you can actually see.
Search now runs when you hit Search, so a query you change your mind about never happened.
We also added anonymous usage stats to help us find rough edges; no search text, no locations. You can turn them off in Settings.
Plus cleaner cards, bigger venue buttons, and a pile of fixes.

What's the vibe tonight?
VibeHawk 1.7 is our biggest update yet — pick a mood, and the map only shows you nights that match it.
PICK YOUR VIBE
Party, Epic, Chill, or Funny. Tap one and the whole map narrows to it. Change it anytime from the pill up top.
VENUE CARDS
Tap a venue and get the whole room: photo, the story behind the place, and every upcoming show on one card. No more digging through pins one at a time — your favourite comedy club or music hall now opens as a single lineup.
A MAP THAT FINALLY LOOKS RIGHT
We rebuilt categories around Sports, Community, Arts and Music, each with its own colour and icon. Music now opens straight into genres — Electronic, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Pop, Rock, Country, Classical — with live counts so you can see what's actually out there before you tap.
SHARPER HAWK-EYE
Line up the crosshair and things light up: markers, leader lines and arrows all react. Busy blocks preview their lineup before you commit, and stacked venues fan out in the order the night unfolds.
SEE IT FULL SIZE
Tap any event photo — in the card or the list — for a full-screen look.
SHARE A VENUE
Send anyone a link straight to a venue and its upcoming shows.
Plus dozens of fixes: smoother venue lists, cleaner event cards, better filters, and a lot fewer rough edges.
Go find your night.

Introducing Hawk Eye
VibeHawk now does the digging for you. Glide any stack of events into the focus ring at the center of the map and it automatically fans out — every event gets its own icon with an arrow pointing right at the venue. Pan away, and it neatly folds back up. No more tap-tap-tapping to see what's hiding in a busy block.
Also new in this version:
- Flip through a venue's lineup — swipe between events and watch the map highlight each one as you go
- Big venue? Big list. Venues with lots going on now show a list button at any zoom — one tap to scroll the whole lineup
- A map you can read at a glance — redesigned stadium, arena, theater, and amphitheater icons, plus a brand-new bar icon
- Your saves, one tap away — new bookmark button right on the map, and swipe-to-remove in Saved Events
- Faster filtering — This Week / Next Week presets right in the header
Plus plenty of polish under the hood to keep your event hunting smooth. Happy hunting!
