Optimized for iPhone Duo. • Saving an edit to a task now keeps its description and preview setting. • Run History opens with the task's runs, and a task remembers its last run's summary after a relaunch. • Videos Sami re-encodes keep the date and place they were recorded. • Folder tasks use the task's own minimum file size. • The album picker says so when there are no albums, instead of loading forever. • Paste Chapters in the tag editor opens its sheet instead of closing the editor. • A long file list in a quick task summary now scrolls, so Done stays in reach. • Settings saved by an older version are kept, and the CPU usage choices are now translated.

Back up to your NAS, then free up space. A Photos task can now copy every original — the photo, its RAW, a Live Photo's video and your edits — to any folder or network share, check each copy against the original, and only then replace it with the smaller version. If the backup can't be reached, nothing changes. Browse Backups shows a backup as a grid of pictures. Put any original back in Photos with its date, place and albums. Live Photos can now be compressed and stay Live Photos, or be reduced to just the photo. Compressed copies stay in the same albums, and scheduled tasks now run on their own, even while Sami is closed. AVIF files Sami makes now open in every browser, and the download folder you choose stays the same from one launch to the next.

More of Sami speaks your language: age filters, space-saved totals, the Films group in the tag editor and several Settings summaries were still in English, and Apple's Files and Shortcuts apps are now called by their local names. Folder tasks show a picture of each photo in their preview instead of a generic icon, and the task list and preview are easier to read in Light mode. The video summary in Settings no longer shows a stray bracket next to HDR. New App Store previews in every language.

Fixed the count shown while a scan is running. In Japanese and Korean it could display the wrong thing entirely, and in every language it said "files" and "assets" in English. Both are correct now, in all nine languages.

Small fixes and refinements under the hood.

Clearer permissions, and a scan that no longer stops short. - When macOS asks whether Sami may read your Desktop, Documents, or Downloads, the prompt now explains what Sami does with them instead of showing generic text. - Declining a folder no longer cuts the whole scan short. Sami skips just that folder and keeps going. - A folder you declined is no longer a dead end: Sami tells you it was skipped and offers to grant access in one click, so you can change your mind later. - Sami now leaves managed libraries alone — your Photos and Music libraries, and the Trash. Optimizing files inside them can corrupt the library that owns them.

Feedback and ratings that actually open. - Fixed: "Feedback & Support" and "Enjoying Sami?" in Settings showed a chevron and then did nothing when tapped. Both now open properly — report a bug, suggest a feature, ask a question, send translation feedback, or leave a rating. - Fixed: About reported "Version 1.0.0" no matter which version you were running. It now shows the real version straight from the app. - About also gained direct links to the privacy policy and Sami's own page.

Stability and reliability improvements.
