I’ll be honest. I came into this hobby the way most of us do: completely unprepared and dangerously addicted to YouTube tutorials. One video on wet blending leads to another on zenithal priming, which somehow ends with you at midnight watching a guy in the UK paint a 3mm boot and thinking, “I need that exact shade of Mournfang Brown.” And so you buy it. Again. For the third time.Yes, 3 bottles of the same color. Not because I’m passionate. Because I am, apparently, a goldfish in a hobby store. At over $5.00 a pot, my inability to remember what I already own wasn’t just embarrassing, it was an expensive personality flaw.Enter Workbench. This app is the organizational backbone that every miniature painter desperately needs but probably doesn’t know they’re missing yet. You can catalog your entire paint collection, track what you have, and actually know what you own before you click “add to cart” for the fifth time on a color you’ve been hoarding since 2022.For anyone deep in the Warhammer hobby or the wider world of miniature painting, the sheer volume of paints, washes, contrast colors, and technical paints across multiple brands can become genuinely overwhelming. Workbench brings order to the chaos. It’s intuitive, it’s practical, and it makes you feel like a painter who has their life together, even if the rest of your hobby desk tells a very different story.Whether you’re a Warhammer veteran or someone who just watched their first “how to paint Nighthaunt” video and is now questioning every life decision that led them here, Workbench belongs in your arsenal. It won’t paint the minis for you, but it will absolutely save your wallet and your sanity.Five stars. No hesitation.
