v3.4.0
more NEW
- Settings, Account shows your account the way you think of it: your verified email, how you sign in, your devices, your plan. Add an email on any account, free or Pro, with cloud off. It is the easiest way back in on a new device, and it never turns on cloud sync.
- Settings, Sending: one tab that lists what leaves this device and who gets it, worked out from your settings right now: Deepgram, OpenAI, TypeSafe, miniti, your docs server, Google Calendar, your CRM, your webhook. Each row says exactly what is sent, or nothing and why. While you record it says what this meeting is doing.
IMPROVED
- The recovery key is a backup, not your account. Show it or replace it from Settings, Account, with plain words about what each does.
- Settings, Sending is three short groups with one status word per row and one Configure link.
- The first-run permission screen is shorter, and Allow and Not now stay on screen at every size.
- Granola import takes the zip Granola emails, or several CSV files at once.
FIXED
- Granola import refused the export Granola makes today and said every row was missing a date. The columns changed. miniti reads them again.
- An imported Granola transcript arrived as one block with no length. Each sentence is its own turn now, and the length is estimated from the words spoken, about 150 a minute.
- A device whose saved sign-in key can no longer be used asks you to sign in by email or recovery key instead of failing every request.
- Signing in by email said expired link when the connection dropped. It now says what actually went wrong.
3.4.0 10h ago
NEW
- Cloud is one switch for your account. Turn it on on one device and every device on the account turns on at its next launch. Turn it off anywhere and it is off everywhere.
IMPROVED
- The first screen says what goes to Deepgram and OpenAI and asks you to allow it or not now. Not now opens miniti with recording and AI off and nothing sent. Settings, Privacy shows your choice and lets you change it.
- Settings, Cloud says Downloading while meetings from your other devices come down.
FIXED
- Cloud could upload every meeting again after an update and log a conflict for each.
3.3.0 5d ago
NEW
- miniti recognises you by voice. Turn on Your voice in Settings, Transcription, mark yourself once in a meeting, and from then on you are You from the first sentence, on the phone, in a room and in watch recordings. Needs Speakers set to this device. The fingerprint stays on the device.
- Remembered voices. People miniti has matched to a calendar guest are named next time before they say their name. Forget anyone in Settings, Transcription.
- Speakers get their email. A named speaker is matched to the calendar guest list; the email travels with the meeting in exports, the API and webhooks. Tap a speaker to see it or pick the right guest.
- Watch recordings get speaker labels from the on-device model when Speakers is set to this device.
FIXED
- A watch recording longer than 5 minutes failed with "Could not read the audio". Tap Try again on the row in History for a recording that was stuck.
3.2.0 Oct 20
NEW
- Apple Watch app. Record a meeting from your wrist, with the phone in your pocket or at home. The audio moves to your iPhone when the two are in range, gets transcribed with speaker labels, and shows up in History with a summary. Minutes count the same as a live meeting, and nothing leaves the watch until the phone has it. Needs watchOS 10.
IMPROVED
- Filter History by device. The filter menu lists where your meetings were recorded: Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, Mac, or a Granola import.
3.1.0 Oct 19
NEW
- Cloud. One switch in Settings, Cloud. Your meetings go to miniti's servers and come back on every device on your account. Record on the Mac, open it on the phone a minute later. Edits, speaker names, pins and deletes follow. Pro only, off by default.
- Sign in with email. Add an email in Settings, Cloud and miniti sends you a link. It signs you in on the web and on a new device without typing the recovery key.
- Your meetings in your own tools. Settings, Cloud makes tokens for the API and connects Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code and Cursor to your meetings through MCP. Read only.
- Your account on the web. Sign in at api.miniti.app/signin with your email and see your plan, minutes, devices, connected apps and tokens.
- Keep a meeting off the cloud from the history list. Meetings recorded in private mode stay off it on their own.
IMPROVED
- Deleting a meeting with cloud on deletes it on every device.
- Minutes now count per account, not per device. Two devices on one plan share one allowance and show the same number.
3.0.0 Oct 17
FIXED
- The microphone meter in setup now moves for a normal speaking voice. Before, it only moved for a shout, so a working mic looked dead.
2.12.2 Oct 16
FIXED
- A phone restored from a backup could get a 401 on every recording and could not sign out. miniti kept a half-finished account on the device and signed with a key the server had never seen. It now sets the device up again on first launch. If you had an account before, move the device back to it with its recovery key in Settings, Account.
- Sign out always clears the device, even when the server no longer accepts its key.
2.12.1 Oct 11
NEW
- Describe a template and miniti writes it. Settings, Templates, New template. Type one line, press Draft it, then edit.
IMPROVED
- Settings has a new shape. Five groups, one word per tab. Recording is your hardware, Transcription is language and the speaker model, AI is summaries and speaker names, Privacy and About are separate.
- The More tab in insights remembers your pick. Choose Interview once and it comes back with one tap. The menu is one short list of names.
FIXED
- No more em dashes anywhere in the app.
2.12.0 Oct 10
NEW
- Search meetings by person, title, and date. Type with:sam, title:budget, on:14 sep, after:1 sep or last:2w, or pick them from the new filter sheet. Every word you type must now match, so "sasha pricing" finds the call about pricing with Sasha. Results say why they matched.
IMPROVED
- Webhooks no longer get lost when the network is down. miniti keeps them in a queue, retries for up to a day, and Settings shows what is waiting or failed with retry and discard buttons.
- When the AI service is down, live summaries back off instead of retrying every few seconds.
- Setup now offers the miniti plan only. Using your own Deepgram and OpenAI accounts is still available in Settings, Account & Plan.
2.11.0 Oct 9
NEW
- Separate speakers on your device. Settings, Recording, "Separate speakers on this device (beta)" runs NVIDIA's Nemotron speaker model on your iPhone instead of Deepgram's speaker detection. In our tests it got the speaker right for 6 to 20% more of the talking time, and it does best with several people in a room. Audio still goes to Deepgram for the words. The model ships inside the app, so this update is about 190 MB bigger. Off by default while it is in beta.
- Faster speaker naming and sales detection, in beta for managed accounts. Settings, AI, "Faster speaker naming and sales detection" matches speakers to your calendar attendees and spots sales conversations in under a second. Off by default.
- Calendar events with no guests and no meeting link are not meetings any more, so a personal block never auto-starts a recording. Change it in Settings, Calendar, Meeting filters.
IMPROVED
- A meeting started from a calendar event keeps the event's title instead of being renamed from the conversation, so a 1:1 stays filed under the person's name.
- Settings, About lists the open-source software and the speaker model miniti ships with, and their licences.
FIXED
- Google Calendar no longer shows as disconnected after a restart.
- The "has this meeting ended?" question now appears in a noisy room, stays up until someone speaks, and comes 2 minutes after a calendar meeting's end time.
2.10.0 Oct 7
NEW
- Make your own templates. Settings, Templates: name it, add up to 8 sections with a line on what goes in each, preview it against a past meeting, then pick it from the More menu like BANT or SPIN. Duplicate a built-in to start, and export or import a template as a file.
- If miniti can't open your meetings it shows a recovery screen instead of crashing. Your data is never touched, and you can still export what it can read.
IMPROVED
- Security work on miniti's servers behind the scenes. Nothing changes for you.
FIXED
- When something doesn't save, such as a pin, a rename, or a delete, miniti tells you and offers a retry.
- If your history can't be read, miniti says so instead of showing an empty list.
- A correction that can't be saved keeps the editor open and tells you why.
2.9.0 Sep 13
NEW
- Pro follows your account. Buy Pro on one device and every device on the same account gets it.
- Move a device to another account from Settings, Account & Plan with that account's recovery key. It keeps its meetings, usage, and connections.
- The next-meeting prompt has an End meeting button, so you can end the current meeting without starting the next one.
- Out of office, focus time, all-day, and declined events no longer count as meetings. Settings, Calendar, Meeting filters lets you change the rules, add your own title words, and preview which of next week's events would be skipped.
IMPROVED
- Live summary and question updates arrive about 3 times faster.
- Share Diagnostics is on by default in managed mode. It sends error and health events only, never transcript or audio. Turn it off in Settings, Privacy.
- Webhooks only send over https, and webhook addresses never appear in diagnostics logs.
- The correct-word editor tells you when a correction was not saved or matched nothing, instead of closing quietly.
FIXED
- Correcting only the capitals of a word, such as lightdash to Lightdash, now works.
- A correction made after the meeting has stopped is saved to the meeting straight away.
- Filler counts no longer double count. An "uh huh" counts once, and Coaching calls them detected fillers.
2.8.0 Sep 12
NEW
- Join button on meeting reminders and upcoming meetings. One tap opens the Meet or Zoom link and starts miniti.
- Long-press a transcript line to correct a misheard word. miniti fixes earlier mentions and remembers it next time.
- Settings, Personal Dictionary lists your corrections so you can remove them.
IMPROVED
- Speaker names appear more often, with a final check when the meeting ends and names from the invite on 1:1 calls.
FIXED
- Meeting links and attendee names from Google Calendar were being dropped. Join buttons and attendee names now show.
2.7.0 Sep 10
NEW
- Templates: a live insights view that fills a structured template as the meeting goes: BANT, SPIN, interview scorecard, customer check-in, stand-up, or 1:1. Saved with the meeting and included in exports.
- Your account is now a recovery key that only you hold. No email, no password. Existing installs get one automatically; your plan and history are unchanged.
- Add another iPhone, iPad, or Mac with "Restore with recovery key" in Settings → Account & Plan. Manage devices, reveal or rotate the key, sign out, or delete your account there.
IMPROVED
- Picking a specialist view mid-meeting fills it straight away.
- A one-time card on Home reminds you to save your recovery key.
- Requests to miniti's servers are now signed by your device.
2.6.0 Sep 7
NEW
- Miniti can suggest enabling live Sales analysis when a conversation sounds like a sales call. Detection runs locally and can be turned off in Settings.
IMPROVED
- Shared-microphone recordings keep cleaner speaker turns and neutral identity labels when several people are detected.
- Reconnecting live transcription no longer discards inferred speaker names or your "mark as you" choices.
2.5.0 Aug 24
IMPROVED
- Smart meetings can now notice prolonged quiet in calendar-linked recordings, so it is easier to tell when a meeting has ended without changing your auto-stop setting.
2.4.0 Aug 21
NEW
- Add locally stored prep notes to upcoming calendar meetings and carry them into live notes automatically.
- Get timely investigation suggestions and run focused OpenAI web research inside Miniti with cited sources, only when you choose.
IMPROVED
- Home shows your next five connected-calendar meetings across the coming days, with a preparation view before you start.
2.3.0 Aug 20
IMPROVED
- Coaching focus sections now use clearer hierarchy, stronger next-step recommendations, and compact source examples.
- Coaching history keeps every metric in its own chart with labelled value and meeting axes that stay readable as your history grows.
2.2.2 Aug 19
NEW
- Smart meetings notices when a recording may have ended or another calendar meeting is approaching, then helps you save and start the right meeting.
- The Coaching overview highlights strengths, tracks trends across recent meetings, and suggests one practical focus for the next meeting with examples from your transcripts.
IMPROVED
- Settings is reorganized into clear, searchable sections. Search results open the exact control.
- Coaching opens immediately with its previous results and refreshes changed meetings in the background.
2.2.1 Aug 11
NEW
- Pin important meetings and browse history in clear Today, Yesterday, This Week, and Older groups.
- Import your Granola meeting history from its CSV export, with duplicate protection and clear source labels.
- Choose a Compact, Standard, or Large interface scale in Settings.
- Choose whether live transcript text appears on the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island; it remains on by default, and tap the activity to return to your active meeting.
IMPROVED
- When several people are grouped as “Others” in Coaching, expand the filler section to see each person’s totals and filler-word detail.
- Speaker names remain readable when a meeting has many detected speakers.
- Clearer system typography and roomier transcript lines make meetings easier to read.
- On iPad, regular-width layouts use adaptive sidebar navigation while iPhone keeps its compact tab bar.
- Navigation and small utility surfaces use current system styling without changing Miniti's compact dark interface.
- Reduce Motion now applies consistently across app transitions and animated status elements.
- Starting, stopping, recovery, and post-meeting review explain what is happening and offer clear next actions.
- First-run setup is shorter, adapts to small screens, and includes a live microphone check.
- Insights use one descriptive mode menu with update timing, and Settings opens into searchable task-based categories.
- Summary, Questions, and Coaching stay prominent while optional Sales and Playbook views live in a specialist menu; Sales only runs after you enable it.
- Start meeting always begins a fresh meeting, while calendar meetings remain explicit choices in the upcoming list.
- Return to meetings and start another recording while final insights finish safely in the background.
- Transcript trims and speaker edits work with the system Undo command, while save, copy, and export confirmations stay inline.
- Consecutive transcript chunks from the same speaker appear as one clean turn with a single speaker label and timestamp.
- Meeting finalization is shown as non-interactive progress, with completion guidance only when its action is available.
- Longer meetings stay more responsive as transcription, coaching, rendering, and audio meters do less work on the interface thread.
- Live transcript fragments and follow-to-bottom scrolling update at a steadier, power-efficient pace without overriding manual scrolling.
- Live AI insights refresh less often during long meetings while still updating promptly when enough new conversation arrives.
- Saving and reopening long meetings avoids repeated full-transcript work, including while opening sheets or editing speaker details.
- Recovery autosaves run once per minute and skip unchanged meetings, while stopping, saving, and backgrounding still persist immediately.
- Managed Questions updates reuse prior context instead of repeatedly sending the full meeting as it grows.
FIXED
- Finalized transcript and insight changes are more reliably saved when the app backgrounds or a meeting stops.
- Resumed interrupted meetings no longer restore unfinished or blank transcript fragments.
- Stopping or saving a short meeting no longer loses the last visible transcript when transcription disconnects before finalizing it.
2.0.3 Aug 11
- Live transcription now recovers on its own when it stops returning words mid-meeting, and keeps trying instead of giving up after the first few attempts.
- Recording recovers automatically after a phone call, Siri, or an alarm interrupts it, and after a failed switch between headphones and the built-in mic.
- Meetings no longer stop themselves with "no speech detected" when live transcription drops while people are still talking.
- A meeting that stopped because live transcription failed now says so, instead of reporting a silent room.
- A meeting you discard no longer reappears in your history, and deleting a meeting while its insights are being regenerated no longer brings it back.
- Training mode now counts "mhmm" as a filler word, and the default filler list no longer offers hesitations that could never be detected.
- The Lock Screen and Dynamic Island recording activity no longer risks crashing the app when its meeting is discarded.
- Suggested questions, docs topics, and calendar attendees can no longer be lost from a saved meeting.
1.27.1 Jul 27

1.26.0 Jul 21

- improvement: audio capture reliability improved when switching to or from bluetooth headphones
1.24.1 Apr 23
