TactiBoard: Youth Soccer Track
Playing Time, Subs & Lineups
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
Every player's season at a glance, rebuilt call-ups, richer attendance tracking, a smarter match clock, and team-colored headers.
TactiBoard is a live game tracker for youth soccer and amateur coaches. Log playing time, substitutions, goals, cards and every action by field zone from the sideline, then share the game live with parents through a simple link.
It was built by a youth soccer coach who was tired of tracking games on paper, so everything takes two taps: player, action, zone. Some people search for it as Tactic Board, but TactiBoard is not a tactics drawing board: it is your digital game-day notebook.
DURING THE GAME
• Log goals, assists, saves, fouls, cards, subs and 15+ actions with the exact minute.
• Playing time is calculated automatically from your substitutions, and you can set a minutes target per player to keep playing time fair.
• Track opponent actions too, and create custom actions for 7v7, futsal and other formats.
• Coach mode flags fatigue and suggests substitutions during the game.
• Works offline: action logging needs no internet connection.
BEFORE AND AFTER THE GAME
• Weekly availability: mark who's in, who's unsure and who's out, then share the list on WhatsApp.
• Set your starting lineup before kickoff.
• Player and team notes: technical, tactical, physical, behavior, injuries and suspensions.
• Automatic 1–10 player ratings, player of the match, achievements and full-season stats.
• Share the game summary as an image with your team group.
LIVE GAME PAGE FOR PARENTS
Publish the game and paste the link in your team chat. Parents and fans see the score, timeline, lineup and each player's heat map in any browser, with no app and no account. The page refreshes every 10 seconds.
CLUB WEB DASHBOARD
Connect the app to the web dashboard and your club gets stats for every team: roster, playing-time balance to spot players short on minutes, analytics by zone and position, card alerts, injuries, suspensions and practice attendance.
VOLLEYBALL TOO
A dedicated volleyball module adds a live set-by-set scoreboard, point timeline and standout players.
TactiBoard is free to track games and share them live. TactiBoard Pro, an optional auto-renewable subscription, adds extra features such as matchday posters for social media and match ratings.
Track every youth soccer game properly, with no paper and no extra work.

more TEAM
- Every player tells you how they're doing. Under the name you see matches played, starts, minutes, and goals for the season. It's for everyone.
- With Pro, there's more:
- The row fills in the background with the % of minutes played out of those available, drawing in as a cascade when you open it. If you have a minutes target and a player falls short, the bar turns amber.
- A ring around the jersey number showing training attendance.
- Mini bars showing how much they played in each of the last 5 matches.
- At most one tag: injury, several trainings missed, birthday this week, scoring streak, or one short of a target. Whoever has a birthday today or is on a streak gets a pulsing border.
- Header in your team colors. The crest is bigger and glows, and category, competition, and club become chips. Below, a strip shows the season record and the latest results. You can also pick the team color by tapping the crest.
- "My teams" as cards. Each team with its color, crest, number of players, and record, with the active one highlighted.
- Last list under "Attendance." For example: "Last list: Tue, Oct 14 - 14 of 16 came."
- Guests. A newly added guest joins without being called up.
CALL-UP
- Match window rebuilt. The name shows in full; starter/sub is a sliding switch; to take a player out, swipe the row left, and swipe right to bring them back. The list is split into "Called up" and "Not coming," and doubt and injury sit under the "..." menu.
- Starters by team. The number is no longer always 11. It's inferred from the last match (7 in 7-a-side) and adjusted right in the header ("7/7 starting - Playing - +"). It's the same number in Team, the weekly call-up, and the match call-up.
- Weekly call-up. Guests have their own section and names can take two lines.
- Call-up poster. The TactiBoard mark is more discreet.
ATTENDANCE
- You can see what's already been recorded. Next to each player: their last 8 trainings as dots, their %, and a warning after 3 absences in a row. A saved day opens with what was marked. The calendar marks days that have a list. It works offline with the last reading.
- Season strip. One bar per list; tap it to open that day.
- Fix: saving the attendance of a pre-match always gave an error.
MATCH
- Clock. Tap it for big Pause/Resume and Halftime buttons, and finish by pressing and holding. A strip shows the periods of the match, with "+" to add one (third half, extra time, a 4x12).
- One-sided substitutions. "Comes on with nobody off" (+1) or "Goes off with nobody on" (-1).
- Fix starters before kickoff. With "7 on the pitch - Fix," without it counting as a substitution.
- Multiple substitutions. The name shows in full, and starting from the bench now works.
PUBLIC MATCH PAGE
- Season streaks and firsts are now published, the same as "Moments" in the app.

BEFORE THE MATCH
- Faster call-ups. Pick the date on a calendar and the time on a 15-minute grid - no more typing.
- Readable WhatsApp message. One player per line, bold headers, and the date with the day of the week.
- Social media poster (Pro). A match-day poster for a post or story: both crests face to face in your team color; the lineup with names, with jersey numbers only, or no lineup at all; and a QR code to the app stores.
- The preview only shows what you need to decide: doubts (one-tap "Coming / Not coming") and regular starters who aren't coming. If nothing is left, it says "All set."
- Starter for that match only. The star in Team is your usual eleven, and an absence no longer wipes it. The star/swap marker in the preview applies only to that match.
- The preview remembers your opponent. As you type their name, it shows how the last match went, the level you gave them, and their top scorer.
DURING THE MATCH
- Opponent jersey number in one tap. Log the action first, then "Who was it?" appears, suggesting numbers from this match and from previous matches against that opponent.
- Live summary built for match time. Ratings on top, with a provisional MVP and an up/down arrow when a rating has just changed. Below, playing-time distribution and the timeline, with an All - Us - Opponent filter.
- Photos and videos are no longer lost. They're saved to the match and carried into the report.
- Accidental halftime tap. You can undo it and the period carries on with its clock. The button only appears when the halftime looks like a mistake.
- Forgotten match. Instead of "Resume or discard?", it offers "Close it at 50'?" It cuts the minutes at the expected length and saves the match with the day it was actually played.
AFTER THE MATCH
- Rate the match (Pro). A 20-second card at full time: opponent level and what stood out; referee and both stands' sportsmanship; and "your detail of the match." It's private and feeds the recap and the next preview.
- Match recap in three versions. Families: never includes anything negative. Club: written in prose with full detail (goals in order, the game in numbers, the atmosphere, the season). Social: three lines.
MOMENTS AND STATS
- Achievements is now called "Moments." The latest match is free to view: the goal, the MVP, the streaks, and the achievements it produced. With Pro: "About to," with a progress bar, and the season match by match.
- Achievements showcase. It shows who holds each achievement and, when you tap one, in which match each player earned it.
- Starts per player. In Season, "Started 3 of 5" appears under each player.
- "Fewest conceded" ranking. Goals conceded with the player on the pitch; on the player card, goals for and against while they played. It finally does justice to defenders.

SET THE CLOCK RIGHT
If the match started earlier or later than planned, tap the clock and correct it. Substitutions and each player's minutes adjust automatically.
PLAY WITH THE PERIODS YOU NEED
Halves, extra time, or a single period - the match format now adapts to how you actually play.
SHARE THE LIVE MATCH BEFORE KICKOFF
Send the live match link to families before the opening whistle, so they're ready when it starts.
FAIRER RATINGS
Losing no longer subtracts from a player's rating, and the live rating no longer drops on its own as minutes pass.

3.19.0 Oct 5
PUBLISHING AND PRIVACY
- You now decide per match whether player notes and highlights get published, instead of it being a club-wide setting. This applies live and to matches already saved and waiting in the outbox.
- Connecting a club no longer automatically pulls in your other teams on the device - that checkbox now starts unchecked.
HIGHLIGHTS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- A single, unified highlights engine now recognizes match moments (breaking the deadlock, equalizer, win, nail-biter), impact substitute, clean sheet, goal + assist, comeback, big win, and more - up from recognizing 7 out of 67 real performances to 13.
- New per-player sticker album (bronze/silver/gold depending on how often you earn one).
- Custom achievements can now be set to "per match" - checked match by match instead of only across the season.
- Threshold tuning: "Wall" now needs 5 interceptions instead of 8; "Playmaker" now needs 3 assists instead of 4.
MATCH RECAP AND SEASON CONTEXT
- Automatic one-paragraph match recap (templated in all 5 languages, no AI involved), with a "Send to group" button.
- Season streaks and records: winning runs, first clean sheet, biggest win, and more.
- Automatic detection of the exact match in which each goal/target was reached.
- "Your regulars": the action picker now prioritizes the 5 actions that team logs most often.
LIVE LOGGING
- Forgotten substitutions: you can now set the actual minute a substitution happened (by dragging it along the match timeline) instead of only "now." This retroactively corrects playing-time stats and offers to reassign any actions already logged to the correct player.
SCREENS
- Sun mode for the match screen: a bright, high-contrast palette for use in direct sunlight, toggled from "More" or Settings.
- Match summary: the scoreline goes from a large block to a compact row with an explicit verdict ("you won"), and player ratings now sit above the timeline.

3.17.0 Sep 28
PLAYING TIME AND MATCH DISTRIBUTION
This is the underlying change for the whole update. Minutes are no longer a separate piece of data - they're now driven by the substitution timeline itself, so they can't be off and can't contradict your subs. And the distribution is visible while you play, not just when reviewing the report afterward.
The match report now shows that distribution in the order it happened, and we fixed a bug that misrepresented starter status: a starter who's subbed off and comes back on is still a starter.
THE PITCH
There's a back-and-forth here worth mentioning: we tried a freely-positionable pitch (drag anywhere, x/y) and pulled it back out - placing players by hand doesn't work on the sideline with twelve kids in front of you. What we kept instead is better: the pitch now reads as a formation and tells you what shape you're playing, with things like 4-3-3 detected from your lines rather than typed in by anyone.
Also: every player's card now shows what they've done so far, flashes when an action is logged for them (including a second one in a row for the same player, which used to be missed), the pitch asks one question at a time with the important one selected by default, and minutes stay quiet when they have nothing to say.
PLAYER PROFILE WITHOUT LEAVING THE MATCH
You can now open anyone's full profile straight from the match, without losing track of what's happening.
WHAT KIND OF MATCH
League, friendly, cup, or tournament. This isn't just a label - friendlies no longer count toward league playing-time stats, which used to skew the averages. And the default match format now comes from your team's category instead of a fixed 2x45, which used to apply an adult-length match to a kids' team.
WHAT GETS PUBLISHED
We started publishing who started the match - until now, the public page said nobody did. And on privacy: exported squads and videos are no longer tracked.
CO-SCORING
We stopped overpromising: co-scoring across devices requires a club license, and the app now says so upfront instead of letting someone try it and hit a server error.
PLAYER SETUP (from Rork)
Rebuilt: paste the whole list at once, or add players one by one, with a clear notice for lines it can't understand. The same batch also fixed the pause in "More," a forgotten player, the paywall, drag-and-drop feedback, and several tabs.
CLUB INTEGRATION
Connecting used to just mean saving credentials. Coaches would see "License active" in green while nothing showed up in the club panel, due to a hidden missing step - the cause of half-finished clubs. Now connecting means syncing: your squad and history upload automatically, you can see it coming in team by team, and anything that fails can be retried from the same screen, showing what the server actually said.
Same for creating a club from the app, which now uploads all of your teams, not just the active one. Disconnecting is now symmetric too: it affects every team in that club, and tells you how many before you do it. The sample team never uploads to a real club.
FREE AND PRO
The free tier is genuinely simpler now: two rows under the squad instead of seven, a four-tab bottom bar, and the match preview drops the type selector. What's not included no longer shows as a padlock - it's just not there - and instead there's a single door showing what Pro adds using your team's real data: your matches, your balance, and who's racking up the most minutes.
Pro now also includes your team's web panel: the app notifies the server when the store confirms your subscription, and anyone subscribing without a club is offered a way to create one.
MATCH SUMMARY
The scoreline went from half a screen to a single line, and now tells you whether you won with a color edge and a written verdict, instead of making you compare two numbers yourself. Player ratings now sit above the timeline, which is the part people actually open to look at.
Thanks for using TactiBoard - keep the feedback coming!
3.16.0 Sep 23
MOVE PLAYERS WITH YOUR FINGER
Press and hold a player and lift them - they follow your finger from there. Drop them on another line to change their position (logged in the match report if the match is live, just like doing it from the menu), or drop them on a teammate to swap the two. Dropping within the same line is just visual - nothing gets logged, because nothing actually happened.
UNDO A SUBSTITUTION
Made a mistake with a sub? Now you can undo it right from the match screen, no need to leave it.
CO-SCORE WITH SOMEONE ELSE (club-licensed teams)
Invite an assistant with a 6-digit code and log the same match from two phones. They add actions; the clock, lineup, and substitutions stay yours, so nothing overlaps. If they lose signal, they keep logging and it syncs automatically once they're back online, and they can undo their own entries. The club license covers all of its coaches.
THE LIVE MATCH PAGE NO LONGER FREEZES
The clock now keeps moving for watching families even when nothing gets logged, and substitutions, pauses, and halftime show up instantly. Previously the live page only updated when an action was logged - in a quiet 0-0, it could still show minute 12 while the match was actually at minute 35.
GOAL AND SAVE DETAIL
You can now specify how a goal went in - left foot, right foot, header, penalty, or bicycle kick - and how a save was made - held, parried, tipped for a corner, penalty save, or one-on-one. No extra steps: goal detail lives on the same screen where you already pick the assist, and save detail shows up in a bar that appears after you log it and dismisses itself. If you don't touch it, everything works exactly as before.
All of this flows through to the match page families see and, if you have a club, to the panel: how your team scores and saves, plus the detail on each player's card.
RATING WITH YOUR THUMB
Adjust ratings with + and - buttons instead of opening the keyboard one digit at a time. Press and hold to move quickly, and negative values can finally be entered - iOS's numeric keyboard has no "-" key. Same for your custom actions.
GUEST PLAYERS
A guest now shows up as a guest in the squad and no longer counts against club attendance, where they used to look like they were missing training.
ALSO
Your custom actions now travel with you when exporting and importing a team.

3.14.0 Sep 11
FIXES
- Fixed the bottom menu becoming unresponsive on iPhone running iOS 26. You can now switch between sections normally again.
- Fixed several freezes in team options (import, export, crest, link device): the app would stop responding and had to be force-closed.
- The "match in progress" prompt no longer gets stuck when opening the app.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches - keep the feedback coming!
3.13.4 Aug 31
FIXED
- Fixed a bug where the app stopped responding to touches on iPhone until you closed it - caused by an issue with action sheets (new in 3.13.1).
- Fixed a bug where the scoreline read reversed in away matches.
- Editing a player's name and jersey number no longer requires Pro - it should never have.
- Sample team matches no longer leave your device.
CLUB AND SYNC
- Create your club right from the app, with your team already synced.
- Link a team to a second device (phone + tablet): a new PullSyncManager brings changes from the other device.
- You'll now see a notice when the panel access email has been sent.
- You'll now see a notice when your club license is in its grace period - Pro stays active, but there's a countdown running.
SCORING AND STATS
- Assists are now counted consistently across the whole app, and the matrix can be filtered by any action.
- "All actions" no longer counts position changes.
TEAM AND STARTUP
- The language picker is now part of onboarding, which used to be the only screen with no way out if you didn't understand it.
- Private opponent notes are now organized by team name.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches - keep the feedback coming!
3.13.1 Aug 30
NEW FEATURES
- Link your team to a second device: use the same team on phone and tablet, syncing your squad and match history with a 6-digit code or QR scan.
- Private opponent notes: jot down key players and tactical points about the team you're facing, ready for next time you meet them. These stay on your device only - they're never shared with the club.
- Language picker in onboarding: if the app opens in a language you don't understand, you can now switch it right away instead of getting stuck on a screen you can't read.
FREE VS. PRO
- Editing a player's name and jersey number is no longer a Pro feature. Fixing a typo or a number that changes mid-season is basic squad management, not a premium perk.
BUG FIXES
- Fixed a bug where the scoreline came out reversed in away matches - published results showed the opponent's goals as yours and vice versa for any match played as "Away."
- Match rating formula now reflects the actual result: a team losing 0-4 could previously end up with a better average rating than one winning 3-2, because it measured volume of actions (saves, interceptions) rather than how much they actually mattered to the match.
- Demo matches no longer leave your device. Previously, connecting a club while the demo was loaded could accidentally publish demo matches to the public web.
- Step 1 of onboarding no longer discards what you'd already filled in when you tap "skip."
INTERFACE IMPROVEMENTS
- Team tab header simplified: a single club connection status instead of several buttons.
- Club sync now also updates your team name (previously only the squad synced) - and it can no longer overwrite your current team name with the name from an old match.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches - keep the feedback coming!
3.13.0 Aug 29
TACTICAL ASSISTANT - REWRITTEN (new in 3.11.0)
It used to just watch your players and rate them. Now it also:
- Reads the opponent: warns you when they're piling on chances or when you've lost control of the match.
- Manages the scoreline: in the closing stretch it suggests the substitution the score calls for - a defender to close out a one-goal lead, a forward to chase a comeback - and only when both ends of the swap actually exist on the bench.
- Cleaner panel: one player, one alert. Fatigue only flags whoever is genuinely gassed, not the whole team. Messages that just repeated the score are gone.
- The goalkeeper no longer shows up in alerts that don't apply to them, and is never suggested to cover a field player.
- Reliable live ratings from minute one - they used to run inflated and unfairly penalized your better midfielders.
- Can be turned off completely.
PLAYING TIME - BOTH CYCLES
- Player card: "34' per available match - 3rd of 14", with a bar against your most-used player. "Available" is the key word - someone who missed six matches no longer looks like your least-used player.
- Live (new): a configurable target per player (25/33/50% of the match) that remembers the last five matchdays. Alerts you when someone's window to get on is closing, prioritizing whoever's furthest behind target.
- At full time: the summary shows how many players hit their target and who fell short.
CALL-UP AND ATTENDANCE
- Explicit call-up: benching a player now actually removes them from the lineup - tapping "sub" on a starter used to do nothing visible.
- Proper share sheet: this used to be the only screen that copied to your clipboard and made you leave the app to paste into WhatsApp.
- Confirming attendance no longer wipes your lineup.
- Dates now show readable, with the day of the week, instead of 2026-08-21.
LANGUAGE
- The app now starts in your phone's language (five languages, Italian fully supported), falling back to English.
- One tap to change it from the home screen (globe icon on the Team tab header), also visible when you open Settings.
- Translated the pitch zones, Achievements screen, level bar, and dates, which used to follow your phone's language instead of the app's.
SHARING AND PUBLISHING
- Dedicated share sheet for the match link, and the publish row now tells you if it's already published.
- Explains what the public link is for before you publish.
- Published pages now include your custom actions (name, icon, color) and per-half minutes, so halftime lands in the right place on the page.
PLAYER CARD AND ACHIEVEMENTS
- Clearer PDF report with achievement names spelled out.
- Pending achievements show first, easiest ones on top.
- The match summary shows achievements you just unlocked, not your oldest ones.
RELIABILITY
- 20-second timeout on all requests, and a clear distinction between "no connection" and "the server rejected it." On flaky 4G, the button used to get stuck on "Publishing..." until you force-closed the app.
- Non-blocking alerts: 60 modal dialogs that were purely informational are now a pill that dismisses itself. Dialogs are reserved for things you actually need to decide.
USABILITY (four rounds of review)
Warnings before losing data, plus undo; 44px touch targets and delete actions moved out of lists; jersey numbers no longer crowd out names; History grouped by month; large text no longer breaks the tab bar; the match control bar fits on one row in all five languages.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches - keep the feedback coming!
3.11.0 Aug 22
YOUR CUSTOM ACTIONS, FRONT AND CENTER
- Actions you create now show up with their own name, icon, and color on the match page and in the club panel, instead of being flattened into a generic event.
- Matches you'd already published are updated automatically to include this, no need to republish anything.
- Half length is now shared with the club panel, so per-minute stats are calculated for your actual category instead of assuming every match is 90 minutes.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches - keep the feedback coming!
3.9.4 Aug 13
RELIABILITY, FIRST
This version is all about one thing: making sure you never lose a match again.
- An in-progress match can no longer be lost. The recovery prompt won't dismiss without a choice, and you can't start a new match while a previous one is left unclosed.
- Team tab reorganized: actions are now grouped by how often you actually use them, so the things you need are closer to hand.
- Club connection moved to a single screen, now with a clear disconnect button.
- Call-up list no longer loses "maybe" statuses when you go back to it.
- New setting to turn off anonymous usage analytics, for anyone who prefers not to share it.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches - keep the feedback coming!
3.9.3 Aug 13
WEEKLY CALL-UPS & MORE
Weekly call-up: mark which players are coming to the next match and share the list on WhatsApp in one tap — no more chasing confirmations one by one.
Share match summaries as an image: send a clean, shareable snapshot of the result and key stats to your team or club group.
More control over publishing: decide exactly when your matches go public, so nothing gets shared before you're ready.
Stability fixes: we squashed bugs affecting the match timer, duplicate matches showing up, and data not saving correctly.
Thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches — keep the feedback coming!
3.9.0 Jul 21
ONBOARDING, UNSTUCK
We rebuilt step 2 of onboarding (adding players) to remove the friction points you told us about:
- Optional jersey number: paste just names ("Messi") and TactiBoard automatically assigns the lowest free jersey number. Before, any line without a number was silently dropped.
- Visible errors: lines the app doesn't recognize no longer disappear. They're shown in red under the field and kept in the text box so you can fix them.
- One button instead of two: "Save" and "Continue" are now a single "Continue (n)" button that saves and moves forward.
- See the demo from step 1: "Just want to see it in action?" now offers a "Try with a sample team" button right away, no need to reach step 2. We also fixed a divider that was showing "Cancel" instead of "or".
QUICK PLAYER SETUP, EVERYWHERE
The player parser is now unified across onboarding and the team screen:
- Explicit position in onboarding: you can now also use the format "4 D Perez" (G/D/M/F and variants like GK/DEF/MID/FWD) and birth date ("10 Messi 2010-03-15"), just like the team screen already supported.
- The team screen now accepts lines without a jersey number (it used to discard them).
- Position inferred from jersey number: if you don't specify a position, players no longer all show up as midfielders. TactiBoard now applies the classic convention — 1 goalkeeper, 2-5 defenders, 6/8/10 midfielders, 7/9/11 forwards — repeating every 11 numbers. Pasting 11 names now gives you a sensible lineup on the match screen. An explicit position always wins over the inferred one.
As always, thanks for using TactiBoard to track your amateur matches — keep the feedback coming!

TEAM
