Open Wheelers
Fantasy racing, simplified
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Who's on the podium? Who carves through the field? Who doesn't make it home?
Open Wheelers is fantasy racing stripped down to the picks that actually matter. No salary caps, no waiver wires, no 45-minute draft night. Before each race, call your shots across categories that reward you for knowing the sport — including the messy parts.
THE PICKS
Before each race, pick one driver per category:
- Podium — Who finishes in the top 3?
- Overtaker — Who gains the most positions from grid to finish?
- DNF — Who retires from the race? Mechanical failure, crash, or just bad luck — call it.
- Sprint — Who finishes on the sprint podium?
3 points for nailing it, 2 for close, 1 for in the ballpark. Picks lock at race start.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Your league already argues in a group text. Open Wheelers now plays there too.
THE GROUP TEXT
- Save your picks and send them straight to the league thread. Choose the group once in Settings > League and every share lands in that conversation.
- Race links in the thread unfurl into a live card with the lock countdown and the standings. Tap one to open the app.
- Commissioners get a heads-up the day before picks lock, listing who hasn't picked, with a roll-call card ready to send.
- Win the round and the app offers to post the results for you. Anyone can share them from League Picks.
NO APP? NO PROBLEM
- Commissioners can add a friend by phone number. That friend gets a personal link, makes picks in any browser, and sees the standings on the same page.
RACE DAY
- Live scoring while the race is running.
- On sprint weekends the lock countdown tells you which pick locks next.
- Pick reminders now arrive an hour before the start. Some were firing seconds before lights out.
- Cancelled races are marked as cancelled and stop sending notifications.
ALSO
- Trouble with Sign in with Apple? Sign in with a link sent to your email instead.
- If a league's commissioner deletes their account, a member can claim the role.
- When someone deletes their account, their past picks stay in the standings, so your season doesn't get rewritten.
- A DNF pick no longer reads Pending after a race with no retirements.
