You can pick how many places Now suggests: 3, 5 or 10, in Settings. Five is still the default. Find more adds the same number. Thanks to the person who said a long list turns going out into more scrolling. On the way stops have Hours and details now. Tap it and Apple Maps shows that place's hours. If you'd get somewhere late in the evening or early in the morning, the stop tells you the time you'd arrive so you can check before you turn off. When a show plays more than once, the list says so, and tapping it shows its other dates and times, each with its own Get tickets. Each suggestion now says how long it takes to get there, like "8 min drive", straight from Apple Maps when you tap Find. A show's page says when it starts and how far the drive is. Thanks to the person who asked for a reason each pick fits right now. Also fixed: if you hadn't shared your location, picking a city on Now could send you back to the city picker. It now searches the city you picked. And there's a Back up with iCloud switch in Settings. It's off until you turn it on. With it on, your saved places, done marks and trips follow you to your other devices and come back after a new phone. Drift still has no account and no server; the copy lives in your own iCloud.

Settings now does what you tell it right away. Switch from Apple Maps to Google Maps, pick indoor or outdoor, or change what you like, and you'll see it the moment you tap. Before this, the change saved but didn't show until you closed and reopened the app. Thanks to the person on Reddit who reported it. Drift speaks kilometres now too. There's a Distances setting in Settings: Automatic follows your iPhone, or pick Miles or Kilometres yourself. Everything follows it, the distance to a place, how far "look farther" goes, even how far a stop is off your route. Thanks to the person who asked for it. On a UK iPhone, Automatic now shows miles, same as Apple Maps. Also, "Interests" no longer breaks in half at bigger text sizes, and the interest tiles work properly with VoiceOver, Voice Control and Switch Control.

Drift is free now. All of it. Here is what changed and why. Drift used to ask an AI to think of places, and then paid a second service to check whether those places were real, because sometimes they were not. That cost money every month, so the app cost money too. It now asks Apple Maps. Apple Maps only returns places that exist, so there is nothing to verify and nothing to pay for. Which means there is nothing left to charge you for, so I stopped. Every feature is free, there is no account, and nothing is collected. Drift also gained the whole of a second app I never shipped. Tell it where you are going and how often you want to stop, and it plans the drive: when you leave, where you stop, how long you stay, and what time you get there. What's Happening now looks around wherever you are, or any town you type, and when there are few shows nearby it shows you the venues that host them. And there are photographs everywhere, because a list of words never made anyone want to go anywhere. Everything you saved is still here, untouched. There is a tip jar in Settings if you want one. It unlocks nothing.
