More images, more accurate search and exports you can trust. • Pictures embedded in a message now show in more emails, and HTML exports include them too. • Search: OR now applies only to the terms next to it, date and size filters can be combined, and "To date" in the search filters includes that day. • A search filter the app can't read is now flagged instead of being ignored, so it no longer shows, or exports, the whole mailbox. • Messages without a date take the one recorded in the mailbox instead of appearing as 1 January 1970, and no message is lost when two emails aren't separated by a blank line. • Messages larger than 256 MB are now exported in full. • Exports work with Chinese, Japanese or emoji subjects, and CSV and MBOX exports are more robust. • Each mailbox is re-indexed once after the update.

A safer, faster and more accessible Mbox Viewer Pro. • Exports now show their progress, can be cancelled, end with Show in Finder and tell you clearly if something went wrong, such as a full disk. • Search: Escape stops a search and then clears it, and the app tells you when you need to press Return to search inside messages. • Much faster sorting, filtering and reopening of large mailboxes, and less memory used after closing windows. • Better with VoiceOver and the keyboard: named toolbar buttons, a sidebar you can move through with the arrow keys, announcements when a search or export finishes, and text zoom with ⌘+ and ⌘−. • Security: a message can no longer open web pages or redirect on its own, and HTML and CSV exports can no longer carry scripts or spreadsheet formulas. • Preferences such as the default sort order and the CSV separator now take effect, and the app remembers your layout. • The app is now also available in Malay, Finnish and Hebrew.

Gmail labels now nest. • A label like Work/Clients/Acme folds into a tree you can open and close, instead of one more row in a long flat list. Clicking a label filters exactly as before. • Our website has moved to mboxviewerpro.com. Every link in the app points there now; the old address redirects. • Fixed: the privacy policy link opened a page that did not exist in Spanish, French, German and Portuguese. It now opens the right page in each language.

Hand over only the messages that matter. • Export a selection as a new MBOX mailbox. Narrow a large archive down to what actually belongs in a handover — a legal request, a records request, a mailbox someone else has to read — then choose MBOX in the export dialog. The app writes just those messages out as a single new mailbox, and your original archive is never touched. • The free version now opens mailboxes up to 1 GB, twice the previous limit. Same features, no time limit. As always: read-only, offline, and your original mailboxes are never modified.

A quiet housekeeping update. • Mbox Viewer can now ask how you are getting on with it. It only asks after it has finished a real job for you — an export, a repair or a merge — never more than once every few months, and never in the middle of something. • If the app has saved you time, a rating helps a small independent developer more than you would think. Help > Rate Mbox Viewer Pro… is there whenever you feel like it. As always: read-only, offline, and your original mailboxes are never modified.

This update is all about merging mailboxes. • Merge no longer needs a mailbox open first. It is on the welcome screen and in File > Merge MBOX Files…, and a mailbox you already have open starts out in the list. • Apple Mail exports are finally traceable. Apple Mail exports a folder named "Inbox.mbox" holding a file called "mbox", so merged messages all ended up tagged "X-Mbox-Source: mbox". They now carry the name you recognize, and mailboxes sharing a name are told apart by their folder. • The merge window is far more usable: it scrolls, shows each mailbox's size and the total, accepts dropped files, reports real progress, and when it finishes offers Show in Finder, Open Merged Mailbox and Close — with the result shown in your own language. • Toolbar: conversation threading no longer shares an icon with Search Filters, and the view selector has tooltips with keyboard shortcuts. Menu items that need an open mailbox are greyed out instead of doing nothing. As always, Mbox Viewer Pro is read-only and never modifies your original files.

This update fixes a search problem: • At certain window widths, the search field could disappear from the toolbar as soon as you typed a query — and there was no way to bring it back. The field now keeps a constant width, so running a search can no longer push it out of the toolbar. • ⌘F now opens the Search Filters panel when the search field isn't visible, instead of doing nothing. As always, Mbox Viewer Pro is read-only and never modifies your original files. Thank you for using Mbox Viewer Pro!

This update adds powerful new ways to view and export your email: • Export any message to PDF or to a self-contained HTML file — single messages are free; batch export is a Pro feature. • A new attachments gallery, plus three new message views: Properties, MIME structure and a Hex dump — ideal for technical and forensic inspection. • Recover damaged mailboxes: if a mailbox lost its message separators, a new deep scan rebuilds it and can save a repaired copy to a NEW file — your original is never modified (Pro). • Merge now offers an optional source-mailbox header (X-Mbox-Source) so a merged archive stays traceable to each original mailbox. As always, Mbox Viewer Pro is strictly read-only and never modifies your original files. Thank you for using Mbox Viewer Pro!

This maintenance update improves the "Merge Mailboxes" tool: • Your mailboxes are no longer greyed out in the merge picker. Any recognizable mailbox can now be selected — including extensionless Thunderbird mailboxes (INBOX, Sent…), .mbs/.mbx archives, and files on a NAS or network drive. Apple Mail "Name.mbox" export folders can be added directly too. • Merging up to 1 GB of combined mailboxes is free; larger merges are a Pro feature, shown with a clear notice and an upgrade option. Opening a single mailbox was never affected. As always, Mbox Viewer Pro stays strictly read-only and never modifies your original mailbox. Thank you for using Mbox Viewer Pro!

A big reliability, privacy, accessibility and speed update — no new clutter, just a better Mbox Viewer Pro: • Faster on large mailboxes: quicker searching, lower memory use, and no more UI freezes when opening very large messages or exporting. • More private: remote images (tracking pixels) are blocked more thoroughly, temporary files are cleaned up automatically, and new Settings let you clear your search history and index cache. • More accessible: full VoiceOver and keyboard support, adjustable message text size and font, better contrast, and the in-app language picker now lists all 18 languages. • More robust: handles malformed or oversized MBOX/EML files gracefully instead of freezing or crashing, and export/merge failures are now clearly reported. • HTML messages now show the sender header and quick actions (Export, Print, Share) at the top, just like plain-text messages. The app stays strictly read-only and never modifies your original mailbox. Thanks for using Mbox Viewer Pro!

See every detail of your messages: • New Full Headers view: read the complete message headers (From, To, Cc, Date, Received, Message-ID, Reply-To and more) in one clean, readable pane. Switch between Text, Headers and Raw from the toolbar or the View menu. • Now available in 8 more languages: Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Turkish, Swedish, Danish, Norwegian, Russian and European Portuguese — 18 in total. Thanks for using Mbox Viewer Pro!

Open more mailboxes, with no setup: • Apple Mail exports: open a .mbox exported from Apple Mail directly — no need to dig inside the folder for the data file. • Thunderbird: open Thunderbird mailbox folders even when they have no file extension, plus .mbs and .mbx archives. • Broader format support: mailboxes written in the "mboxrd" variant now display correctly (lines starting with "From " in the body are restored), and exported EML matches. • Sort by recipient: the message list can now be sorted by the "To" field. • Fix: empty .eml files now open instead of failing. Thanks for using Mbox Viewer Pro!

Privacy and search improvements: • Stronger privacy: email HTML is now sanitized before it's shown. Scripts, iframes, embeds, tracking redirects and other active content are stripped, on top of the existing "block remote images" protection and JavaScript-disabled rendering. • Smarter search: a plain search term now looks inside message bodies too, not just subject, sender and recipients. Type to filter instantly by metadata, then press Enter to scan the full text. • Reliability: hardened MBOX parsing for very large files and added regression tests. Thanks for using Mbox Viewer Pro!
