Oscillo is a watch timegrapher for iPhone. Measure rate, beat error, and amplitude — the same metrics a professional watchmaker checks — using just your iPhone microphone. No adapters, no cables, no expensive equipment. Built for mechanical watch collectors who care about precision.
HOW TO MEASURE
1. Place the iPhone microphone flat against the watch crystal or case back.
2. Record a few seconds of tick sounds.
3. Get your rate, beat error, and amplitude instantly.
KEY FEATURES
• Watch Rate Checker — Measure rate (seconds/day), beat error (ms), and amplitude (degrees) in seconds. Works with beat rates from 12,000 to 72,000 BPH.
• AI Watch Identification — Snap a photo and let AI detect the brand, model, and reference number automatically.
• AI-Generated Portraits — Your watch photos become stylised, magazine-quality cards for your collection.
• Collection Management — Browse your watches in a beautiful gallery with grid, full, and list layouts. Favourite, archive, reorder, and organise effortlessly.
• Measurement History — Detailed charts and trends for every watch, with health badges that flag whether a watch is running within spec.
• Precision Tracking — Run multi-day measurement cycles. Capture manual readings from the dial, watch drift accumulate, and confirm whether a service or regulation actually held.
• Weekly Watch Report — A seven-day summary of your collection: average rate, most-worn watch, best reading, and suggested next actions.
• Profile and Wearing Habits — A personal calendar of activity, collection milestones, timing performance, and a heatmap that shows which watches you wear and when.
• Reminders — Optional local notifications nudge you to log wrist time, capture the next precision reading, or open your weekly report.
• Offline First — All data is stored locally on your device. Cloud sync keeps your collection safe across devices.
ACCURACY & ENVIRONMENT
• Best results in a quiet room — background noise can affect readings.
• Place the case back flat against the microphone for a strong, consistent signal.
• If readings seem unstable, move to a quieter space or adjust mic position.
• Supported beat rates: 12,000 / 14,400 / 17,280 / 18,000 / 19,800 / 21,600 / 25,200 / 28,800 / 36,000 / 43,200 / 72,000 BPH.

NEW IN 1.3.2
Weekly Watch Report
A new sheet shows the last seven days of your collection at a glance — average rate, most-worn watch, best reading, watches that haven't been measured in a while, and a short list of suggested next actions. Open it from the watch collection menu, or enable a weekly notification in Settings to be reminded on the day and time of your choice.
A New Profile Tab
The Stats tab is now Profile. It opens with an identity strip — your avatar, display name, and the month you joined — and lays out your numbers as numbered editorial sections: Logbook, Activity, Collection, Wearing Habits, and Timing Performance. The screen reads like a personal ledger of your watch year.
Steadier Timegrapher Start
The timegrapher now has a dedicated "Collecting audio" phase during the first seconds of a recording, before there is enough sound to evaluate lock or noise. You can watch valid samples accumulate toward the target, so it is clear the app is working rather than stuck.
Smoother Tab Switching
Moving between Collection, Precision, and Profile now uses a quiet cross-fade with a subtle scale, and tab state survives the swap — your scroll position and active filters are right where you left them.
Refinements and Polish
Editing a watch's brand and model in Settings now flows through to its name everywhere. Reminders automatically turn off in the app if you revoke notification permission in iOS Settings. Per-row lift-angle changes recalculate amplitude correctly for older readings. Plus smaller layout, sync, and stability fixes throughout the app.
