Very handy and responsive developer

I have been a Devly user since heard about it on Reddit a few months ago. The developer is very responsive and has implemented several features I have asked for. I have used other dev utils and you never get any response from the developers. I like that is not a subscription. All your data stays on device is a big feature for me. I don’t like pasting my sensitive data onto random websites.I work a lot of Base64 encoded data and SSL certificates and decoding them in Devly is so much easier than using the command line utilities. It is as easy as copy and paste.
Very handy

My main reason to purchase the tool was to use the JSON formatter, always feel kind of shady pasting my responses on a webpage and not knowing if they store my information, but this one is GREAT, as happens 100% on my computer I feel comfortable, I haven’t tried all the tools, but so far it solves one of my main needs.
Functionality There, Needs a Little More Polish
Walt Stoneburner
Learned about this on Reddit and very glad I did. This very much like https://tool.cyberchef.dev, but in app form where you don’t need to hunt things down. A survey of various functionality showed an impressive array of local conversion, utilities, and generators. There are small little nits. But they are small. For instance Nanoid only shows collision probability when two or more are generated, but the probability is about the values not how many you generate. Or, clicking on an item in the sidebar loads it, but then jumps back to the top and shows all categories compressed a uncompressed (so, it’s a refresh problem). Collapsing some categories causes text to overlap or entries to duplicate. But, again, the core of what you’d need this for is there. And the sales model of non-subscription is refreshing. Even with the minor quirks, which will eventually get addressed, you’ll get your money’s worth.Would recommend. You’ll certainly discover some pretty neat things you didn’t know about, and that too is work the price of admission.ADDENDUM: The application author is proactively responsive! After reading this review he fixed the issues I mentioned and left me a note that he had fixed them, as well as providing a means to contact him if I found any more. Impressive.
Developer Response
Thanks so much for the thoughtful review! I'm really glad you're finding it useful, and the CyberChef comparison means a lot.The Nanoid collision probability: This now shows consistently regardless of how many IDs you generate. It was silently dropped for a single ID, just a display bug, not a math bug. You were totally right that it's about the ID format, not the batch size. The sidebar jumping and category-collapse issues: The sidebar jumping to the top on selection, and the category-collapse overlap/duplication, were both traced to the same root cause (a rendering workaround that was a bit too broad). Both are now fixed. All of these are already patched for the next update(v2.1.6). Thanks again for taking the time to write this up. Feedback like this is exactly what makes the app better! 🙏
Swiss Army knife of Dev Utilities
TWLatl
There’s so many useful and indispensable tools in this app. The JSON formatter, the QR code generator, the HTML/JS/CSS minifier and more.Sure, a lot of these can be performed with free command line tools. But having 60+ of them in one place with an easy to use GUI is well worth the $5 price of admission.
• Works with Droppy (optional): run Devly's tools right from Droppy's notch shelf
• New Favicon Converter: turn a PNG into favicon.ico and web app icons
• Refreshed Liquid Glass design
• Fixes: SVG Editor export now saves, and Settings and file windows no longer open behind Devly
