Monitor remaining material based on what you assign and use in projects. Archive fabrics you are not using or are just too little to use for full projects, without losing details.
Keep patterns in one place;
Save patterns with name, category, and cover image. Attach a PDF from your device or add a URL to the website with the URL. Store extra details like designer, recommended fabric type, materials, and notes. Open your pattern directly from the related project.
Plan projects you can actually finish and remember:
Create projects and link each one to a pattern. Assign fabrics and notions per project and record usage per item. That way you will never have to guess how much of your stash you still have left. SewMate converts units across different length measurements. Track progress with clear statuses: Planned, In Progress, Completed, or Abandoned. See at a glance which projects need attention.
Log real progress:
Add project updates with text and photos. View your progress in a day-by-day timeline. Use updates as a sewing journal, reference, or planning tool for future makes.

Use Home Screen widgets to see in-progress projects at a glance. Open projects straight from the widget.

Added:
- Pattern details now support starting a new project directly with a Start Project button, pre-filling the selected pattern.
- Patterns can now be assigned a Garment Type (for example tops, dresses, bags, toys) in addition to the main category.
- New Settings > Patterns > Group patterns by preference to group the Patterns list by either main category or garment type.
- Pattern detail screens now support full-screen image viewing by tapping the pattern image.
- Fabric and notion detail screens now support full-screen image viewing by tapping the main image.
- Fabric and notion list rows now include a quick magnifier button to preview images in a sheet.
- Notion list rows now display the notion brand when available.
- Added a Rate SewMate link in Settings.
Improved:
- Project search now also matches on linked pattern names.
- Pattern detail metadata now shows both audience/category ("For") and garment type when available.
- Settings layout and icon usage were refined for clearer organization.
Fixed:
- Added explicit No Results empty states when searches/filters return no matches in Fabrics, Notions, Patterns, and Projects.
- Fixed a Projects-screen edge case where No Results could appear while no search query was entered.
