I’m the founder of a small company with ambitions to grow. Running the business keeps me incredibly busy, and it can be difficult to carve out time to study the principles I need to understand or learn from others who have faced crossroads similar to the ones I’m navigating now, or have encountered along the way.I’m sure there are many tools I could use for that purpose, but this is the one I found, and I’m very glad I did.I’ve already come away with several ideas for changes I could make and areas I might refine. That doesn’t mean I’ll implement every suggestion, but they’ve given me genuinely useful things to consider and have helped me look at parts of the business from a different perspective.

If you look past the content being AI generated, the business cases can actually teach you a few things. I like the interactive elements and I like that I can use it to replace social media.I would love to see more content in the app. I’ve only done 3 cases so far and I’m running out of cases that will likely be useful to me.I would also like for more cases about small business. A lot of people who are likely to download the app are entrepreneurs, myself included. Doing cases about corporations that are large is fine, but most of the problems that a small business owner faces are not the same as the content we have in the app. I want to learn about customer acquisition at a small scale, talent acquisition, and how to scale up. Not how Nintendo built the Switch 2. Yes, it’s interesting but not relevant to my needs as a business owner right now.

Good idea but bad execution

I saw an ad about a game where you make business decisions and thought it would be fun but it was rather disappointing.- the game assumes players have 0 business background so it’s not interesting enough if you’re a business nerd. I already knew a lot about these companies. Plus the explanatory video gives away the answer to the quizzes anyways- fundamentally flawed premise. Of course betting the farm for Novo Nordisk is the right answer because it worked out here but what about in the 100 cases where it didn’t for other cos ? That nuance is where the REAL skills live and that isn’t exercised in this game design. A big gap IMO- the onboarding is way too long; asking me a dozen questions about my financial goals when I’m just here to play a freaking game, not open a brokerage account…- ai generated videos for the cases are long and not skip-able. I ran out of patience before finishing the first case.Loved the idea, and would even gladly pay real $ for an interesting and challenging game with freshly rotating content but this falls short of that.
