Do you remember when you opened your mascara?
BeautyExpiry is a makeup expiry date check and a cosmetics expiration tracker in one: when does mascara expire after opening, is that cream still good, what has to go? Scan the symbol on the pack and the app works it out.
Most people don't. Yet almost every cosmetic package carries a small jar symbol with a number: 6M, 12M, 24M. That is the period after opening — and from that moment the clock runs, whatever the printed best-before date says.
BeautyExpiry does the maths for you and speaks up before anything goes off.
NEW: SCAN THE SHELF LIFE
The little jar symbol is usually printed tiny on the back. Hold the camera on it – BeautyExpiry reads the months (6M, 12M, 24M) right on your device, without internet, and saves no photo. When you take a front photo as the product picture, the app suggests matching names from it.

WHY IT MATTERS
Expired mascara is a breeding ground for bacteria — right next to your eye. Old creams lose their effect, sunscreen loses its protection. And the other way round: plenty gets thrown out that would have been fine for months.

The six themes now carry their names in your language — until now they were German everywhere. Each category has its own symbol: brush, drops, scissors, spray bottle, instead of the same little bottle for everything. The filter rows fade out softly at the edge instead of cutting off mid-word. And on iPad everything sits in one calm column in the middle rather than getting lost in the width.
