DecisionLoop: Decision Journal
Log choices, review outcomes
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
New in 1.1: a reminder on each decision's review date, so you see how your call actually turned out. Plus a board to request features and vote on what's next.
DecisionLoop is a decision journal. Write down a decision, how sure you are, and what you expect to happen. On the review date, come back and record how it actually turned out.
Over time you see something most people never measure: how good your judgment really is, and where your confidence is off.
HOW IT WORKS
• Log a decision in under a minute: what you decided, the category, how confident you are (0–100%), what you expect, and when to review it.
• Get a reminder on the review date.
• Record the outcome: better than expected, as expected, or worse, and whether you would decide the same way again.
• See your accuracy and its 30-day trend. With Pro, see it by category, and the gap between how sure you felt and how often you were right.
FOR BIGGER DECISIONS
• Compare up to three options, scored on expected value, risk control, reversibility and value alignment.
• A bias checklist before you commit: confirmation bias, sunk cost, second-order effects.
• Mark the stakes, the time horizon, and whether the decision is reversible.
BUILT TO KEEP YOU HONEST
• Your record locks 24 hours after you log a decision, so hindsight can't rewrite how sure you were. Until then, fix anything.
• Not sure yet how it turned out? Reschedule the review instead of guessing.
• A weekly review session for every decision that is due.
• A weekly digest of what you decided and how it went.
• Search every decision, expectation and note.
• Backup and transfer of your data, free.
FREE AND PRO
Free: log and review decisions, with up to 3 open decisions at a time and the last 30 days of history.
DecisionLoop Pro adds unlimited open decisions, your full history, the insight breakdowns (observations, by category, confidence analysis), custom categories with your own icon and colour, and CSV export.
Pro is available as a monthly or annual subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period. Manage or cancel them in your Apple account settings.
PRIVACY
Your decisions and notes are stored on your phone. There is no account to create. Anonymous usage statistics help improve the app; they never include what you write.

Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Reminders on each decision's review date. Before, a reminder only appeared if a review was already overdue.
• Edit a decision or reschedule its review. The record locks after 24 hours so it stays honest.
• "Too early to tell": push a review back a week instead of guessing.
• Search your history.
• Weekly Review no longer skips every other decision.
• Custom categories: many more icons and colours, and you can change them later.
• Notifications are now asked for after your first decision, when it's clear what they are for.
• Request a feature and vote on what gets built next (Settings → Help & Feedback).
• Report a bug from inside the app, no mail app needed.
• A simpler Pro screen with the subscription terms in plain view.
• Settings shows the real version number.
