WhatTheFridge remembers your habits! The app now learns how you organize your food and puts things in the right place automatically. Smart location suggestions — After you've stored a food in the same spot a couple of times, WhatTheFridge will automatically select that location when you add it again. Milk always goes in the Fridge? The app will remember. Smart category suggestions — Same idea for categories. Add "Chicken" under Meat & Seafood a few times and the app will auto-fill it for you going forward. Categories from barcode scans always take priority. Both suggestions kick in as you type the item name and can be overridden anytime by tapping the picker.

Smoother interactions - Marking an item as consumed now removes it instantly. Changed your mind? A quick Undo snackbar lets you bring it back within a few seconds. Helpful reminders - New app usage notifications keep you on track during your trial — timely nudges to make the most of What The Fridge before your trial ends. - Control these in Settings → Notifications → App usage reminders.

Insights — A new Insights card on your Home screen tracks how you're doing with food waste over time. See how many items you used before they expired versus how many went to waste, your monthly save rate, and which categories you waste most. The more you swipe right (the green check) to mark items as used, the more useful your data becomes. Siri — Ask Siri "What's expiring in What The Fridge" or "Show expired items in What The Fridge" and the app opens right to that screen. Say "Add milk to What The Fridge" and the add form opens with the name already filled in. Shortcuts also appear in the Shortcuts app if you want to build automations. Smarter expiration suggestions when adding items (including learned suggestions based on what you’ve picked before when adding the same item). Improved receipt review: you can now set/clear expiration dates more easily, with quick expiration chips and a date picker. New settings to hide Locations, People, or Categories - if these features don't align with your household, now you can hide them from the app entirely. New settings for emoji display: independently toggle Category emoji and Location emoji across the app - hate emoji? Remove them. Bulk add improvements: expiration defaults to none, and you’ll see optional suggested expirations per row.
