Go deeper when a relationship has history. Private Deep Read uses Apple Private Cloud Compute only when you ask, while message drafting stays on device.
Tethers is a calm, private relationship tracker for the people who matter most.
Made for iPhone and iPad, Tethers adapts continuously across full screen, split screen, and rotation while keeping your private atlas focused and readable.
Life moves fast. Months pass before you realize you haven't called your college roommate, caught up with your mentor, or checked in on a friend going through something hard. Tethers helps you stay ahead of that drift, not with pressure, but with a gentle nudge at the right moment.
Organize by closeness
Put people into tiers — Inner Circle, Close, Regular, or whatever makes sense to you. Each tier has its own check-in rhythm. When it's been too long, you'll know.
Gentle nudges, not guilt
No streaks. No scores. No shame. Just a quiet daily reminder when someone could use a “hey, thinking of you.” You set the pace, one nudge a day or five, whenever feels right.
Log the ways you actually connect
A quick call. A long catch-up in person. A birthday text. Tethers tracks how you connect — calls, texts, in-person visits, or anything else — so the picture of your relationships stays accurate over time.
Birthdays, remembered
Add birthdays and Tethers will quietly surface them before the day arrives, so you're never sending a late message again.
Message ideas, on your terms
Tethers writes and checks message ideas on your device. On supported iOS 27 devices, optional Private Deep Read can send only one selected relationship’s redacted notes and check-in context to Apple Private Cloud Compute when you explicitly request it. Tethers contact fields, photos, birthdays, tags, other relationships, your writing profile, final drafting, and message sending stay on your device. Your existing drafts remain available if you decline, cancel, lose the connection, or reach Apple’s daily allowance.
Relationship insights
See how your year looked: total check-ins, who you reached out to most, connection patterns by type, and which relationships might need a little more attention. Honest, useful, never judgmental.
Your data, and only yours
Tethers stores relationship data on your device, with optional private iCloud sync through your Apple account. No Tethers account. No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking. Private Deep Read is optional and request-only. Apple says PCC request data is used only to fulfill the request and is not stored after the response.
Tethers isn't about optimizing your social life. It's about not losing the people you care about to the noise of everyday life.
Ratings & Reviews

Tethers now adapts beautifully across iPhone and iPad, including split-screen sizes and rotation. On iOS 27, Private Deep Read can use Apple Private Cloud Compute, only when you ask, to read more of one relationship’s redacted history and help create more context-aware message ideas. Contact fields, photos, other relationships, final drafting, and message sending stay on your device. Existing on-device drafts remain available if the feature is unavailable, canceled, or reaches its daily limit. Navigation refinements also honor Reduce Transparency.
