Your recorder becomes part of your workflow: Mutal Toolkit now talks to the AATON Cantar X3 over the network and to the Sound Devices 8-Series over Bluetooth, to browse, listen to, remix and import your takes — and to control your recorder too. These new features live in the Files module, and are now available on iPhone as well! Also in this release: • Cantar X3 over the network: browse your volumes and shooting days (the recorder's own take list is one tap away), stream a take without copying it, then export or bounce it — fader automation stored in each take is read, animated, editable and applied to your bounce. • Sound Devices 8-Series over Bluetooth: browse your takes, play them on the recorder and mix it from the iPad — faders, pan, mute and meters follow the recorder live and set it in return; its USB volumes can be added to work straight from the card. • Metadata where they belong: scene, take, notes, circled status and track names are edited on the recorder itself, which writes them and renames its own files; the app never writes on its media. • Remote: a floating CTRL window drives the recorder from the room — arm tracks, watch the meters, run the transport, edit the current and the next take, drop a false take. • CLONE: back up a shooting day or a whole Cantar X3 card to your iPad over the network, folders and all, with progress and a cancel button; it lands in a "Cloned" folder and joins your Locations. • Locations: RUSH folders merged into Locations, newest-first sorting, an icon telling where each location really lives (iCloud, third-party cloud, network volume, external drive), and "Open in Play / Slice" buttons per track. • Script: highlighting works again on protected PDFs (encrypted with restricted permissions) — the app opens an annotatable copy, text still selectable. • Files on iPhone: the same module, fitted to the phone — one or two columns in portrait with the path and a back button, three in landscape, a reduced toolbar with a More menu, Import and Bounce popovers, and a full-screen landscape mixer with the Cantar routing matrix. • RF: receiver-group min/max limits now take priority over the group span; project places are listed by country with a per-country switch; editing several devices at once shows the selection and only the settings they share.

This update sharpens script and continuity reading: better detection of roles and scenes (cue numbers ignored, decimal scenes kept distinct, dialogue lines better captured), cleaner highlighting, and a new "Highlight scenes" setting. The foot-pedal page turn no longer shifts the document horizontally. Also recalled from 1.2.20: • Audio files with a misleading extension (an AAC named .mp3) that opened with no sound and no waveform on iOS 26: fixed in every module, with a clear message when a file cannot be opened. • Slice: M4A export as a real AAC file; WAV/AIFF exports keep the source bit depth (16, 24 or 32-bit). • Open in Mutal: videos accepted, and special characters in names no longer block opening; a file with the same name no longer replaces the old one on import. • Play and Slice: markers and selections listed in time order; Play gains the arrow that renumbers markers. • Metadata: accented notes and scenes read back correctly, takes over 4 GB and 32-bit float files supported. • RF: when adding a location, active locations follow the "Limit DVB-T influence" setting.

This update fixes a playback issue on iOS 26: some audio files opened in Trig with no waveform and no sound. They now load correctly in every module. Also in this release: • Play, Slice, Trig: a clear message tells you when a file cannot be opened, instead of an empty track or a silent pad. • Slice: M4A export now produces a real AAC file, lighter and playable everywhere, and WAV/AIFF exports keep the source file's bit depth (16, 24 or 32-bit). • Open in Mutal: videos are accepted, and file names with special characters no longer block opening. • Imports: a file with the same name as another one no longer replaces the old one. • Play and Slice: markers and selections are listed in time order, and Play gets the arrow that renumbers markers. • Metadata: accented notes and scenes are read back correctly, takes over 4 GB and 32-bit float files are supported, and editing keeps the fields it does not change. • RF: when adding a location, active locations follow the "Limit DVB-T influence" setting (same country, same region, or single site). • Script: scene highlights show up right at launch, without toggling DIALOG, and text added with the Text tool covers the text beneath, can be dragged, and is deleted with a long press.

This update fixes a startup hang: on some RF projects (especially all-wireless setups), the loading screen could stay stuck at launch. The app now starts reliably. Also in this release: • Files: improved display and handling of Cantar and Sound Devices rushes. • Script: played pads are marked on the document, reader scrolling no longer shifts the page horizontally, and right-aligned scene numbers are detected again. • Slice: fixed "shifted" automatic selections on multitrack files.

Script — Memos: pin notes right onto the PDF, exactly where they matter (Mutal Pro). Script — Role colors: each character keeps its color from one script to another within a project, and you can hide a role's highlight. Script — More reliable detection: better role recognition (merges accented/unaccented variants, no more phantom roles from "(MORE)" / "(CONT'D)" markers). Audio output: a new picker to choose the output (system, iPad speaker, USB interface). Take loading: a single progress bar, estimated time remaining, and a Cancel button. Various fixes and stability improvements.

New: every receiver group can be given an adjustable min/max frequency range, in addition to the span. On the RF side: opens straight on the Frequencies tab, and the correct country is detected for a point added by GPS coordinates. Play & Slice: the track tag on the waveform shows the right name again. Stability: various RF display fixes on iPad.

- Play — Revised Timecode section: the start timecode stays stable when you change the frame rate (fps), and your settings apply on the fly. Tap the timecode bar to open it directly (iPad). - Play — Generated LTC follows the playback speed, and elapsed/remaining time now show the real duration based on that speed. - Files — Folder cloning is now reliable: source size, available space at the destination, overwrite confirmation, and a progress bar that protects the copy. - Files — Export a track: only the selected track is exported, with its name and metadata (timecode included). Track count and names now display correctly for poly files. - Files — Bounce: keeps the timecode and metadata (fps, scene, take), and track panning follows the Cantar matrix (Pan Cantar / Pan auto toggle). - Files — Open a PDF directly in the iOS system PDF viewer. - Script — Dialogue detection now ignores revision marks (“*”) in the margin of revised scripts. - Various fixes and stability improvements.

Script — New (iPad), by popular request: Script and Play side by side in split view (landscape) to follow the text while controlling playback. Team sync — New: "Apple account sync" keeps an RF project in sync across all your devices on the same Apple account, without inviting a collaborator. RF — Better country detection for GPS places (a neighboring country was sometimes picked near borders or offline) and the real country now shows in the list. Files — Polyphonic Cantar rushes (.AAN folders) now list every take separately, with the routing matrix (iPad and Mac). Projects — Fix: renaming an open project could erase your Slice tab selections. Fixed, and already-affected projects repair themselves on load. Stability (iPhone) — Fix: reopening the app after a long time in the background could get it stuck on a looping loading screen. Team sync — Read-only collaborators can't wipe frequencies anymore: RF editing is locked, browsing stays free.

- Pro — 7-day free trial: try all Pro features before you commit. - Trig — Fixed a bug where a pad could stay silent (animation playing but no sound) after a phone call, Siri, or plugging in headphones. Sound now resumes without restarting the app. - Trig — Larger export window on iPhone and iPad, with a fully scrollable file preview.

- Important — Fixed the project list disappearing after the 1.2.12 update: your projects (still on your device) are automatically found and restored. - Script — Two new role color palettes: "Flashy" (neon tones) and "Custom", with an editor to set each of the 16 colors exactly the way you want. - Script — Redesigned role color picker: the 16 colors of the active palette are offered as presets, with built-in palette switching and access to the free color selector. - Script — "Scene selection" export now truly exports only the chosen scenes: other scenes sharing the same pages are masked out. - Script — Parentheticals after a character name — (CONT'D), (ON THE PHONE)… — are no longer highlighted with the name. - Slice & Play — Fixed a bug that could leave selections silent after reopening a project (audio file imported from Files or an SD card). - Reliability — Free mode no longer deletes any data: pads, selections, markers and PDFs beyond the limits are set aside and fully restored when you return to Pro. - Reliability — Safer project imports (no more incomplete projects if interrupted) and better recovery from damaged files (Script documents, RF databases).

- Mac availability — Mutal Toolkit now runs on Apple Silicon Macs (M1 and later). - Script — Richer annotation: tools now available on iPhone (highlighter, underline, strikethrough, mask, pens), a new Text tool to add a line highlighted in the role's colour, and multi-line highlighting in a single swipe. - Slice & Play — Unified, richer WAV exports: mono/stereo choice, sample rate (44.1 / 48 / 96 kHz), gain & EQ baking, original format preserved. - Trig — Export a bank to WAV with output-channel choice, sample rate and gain/EQ. - Trig — More reliable long-press pad reordering: smoother jiggle and dragging (iPhone and iPad). - Trig — Pad settings (gain, EQ, crop…) are now properly saved and restored within projects. - Trig — Panning a stereo pad left/right now produces a true mono reduction. - Slice — "Load in Play" now sends the whole file instead of a selection. - Fix — Resolved an issue that could revert an RF setup to Free mode (5 frequencies, 1 location) for some Pro subscribers at launch.

- Script — More reliable automatic dialogue detection (center-aligned TV scripts, lines that span two pages). - Script — Parenthetical stage directions are no longer highlighted; the annotation highlighter now matches the automatic highlight colors; refreshed reader controls. - Trig — New full-screen pads mode with a simple control bar (iPhone). - Trig — Looped playback no longer drops out when you turn loop on mid-play or adjust a looping pad's crop. - Slice & Play — No more duplicate selection or marker under the playhead; new items keep a unique color after a deletion.

- Slice & Play (iPad landscape) — New Shortcut Bar with editable notes. - Polyphonic / multi-channel files — Each track is now named on the waveform, single-channel view is sharper, and you can switch channels during playback without stopping. - Render — Applies gain, EQ and channel selection in a single pass and keeps your track names. - Memory safety — Files too large for your device are now blocked with a clear message instead of crashing. - Slice & Play — Zoom and waveform position preserved across tabs. - RF — A device's country version now follows your location; cleaner PDF export. - iPhone — Smoother waveform scrolling, polyphonic support, refined toolbar.

- RF engine — Fix: when relaxation is enabled, the deep-search fallback now respects the level you've chosen. It used to silently fall back to Standard, which could leave a saturated plan without a solution. - Team Sync — Reliability, battery life and multi-device behaviour improved. On shared projects, RF sync now pauses when you're working in another module and resumes instantly when you open RF. - Trig — Polished the CROP editor: clearer selection handles, more readable playhead, and a new "Open in Slice" button that hands the file (with your crop bounds) over to the Slice module. - Slice & Play — Transport buttons (PLAY/STOP and lock) refreshed

New! Define custom playback bounds for any Trig pad — non-destructive. Drag two handles on the waveform in the new CROP section (iPhone) or CROP tab (iPad) to set Start and End points without altering the source audio. New since 1.2.7 : Share your RF transmitter list and the entire RF module with your team. Your frequencies and shooting locations stay synchronized with your collaborators, who can view and/or edit your RF rig. Sennheiser Spectera (WMAS): • Frequency planning fully reworked: Spectera blocks are placed in their own pass, without interfering with the other devices. Faster and more reliable. • 1.4 GHz bands unlocked for the US (Part 74 + AFTRCC), the UK, Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Cyprus, Lithuania and Brazil (Sennheiser LIC Zone 16). • Default Spectera version now follows the region: UHF-EU in Europe, UHF-US in the Americas. iPhone: • RF Locations view: the keyboard no longer covers the "Decor name" field or the city search. • The active RF sub-tab is remembered across visits. Fixes: • No more false-positive "2TX intermodulation" warnings on Spectera blocks (they don't take part in IMD calculations by design).

This update extends support for Sennheiser Spectera transmitters (WMAS, UHF and 1G4) and brings many improvements to frequency management, the Bluetooth pedal, and the iPhone experience. Added new DPA N-BP1 and N-HH1 Added the Shure SLX-D+ series RF improvements: • PMSE bands refactored from official declarations by national regulators (EFIS, May 2026) for the 46 CEPT countries. • Frequencies-by-site mode: changing the region deactivates active sites outside it; French DAB+ blocks reappear when returning to FR. Other fixes: • Trig on iPhone: Pan (L/C/R) button on each pad. • RF settings: "Allow VHF bands" off by default (can still be enabled manually). • Script: better dialogue attribution when two scenes start on the same page. • Help / About: version and build shown dynamically.

Minor bug fixes

This update fixes and improves: • Files: native iOS preview is once again used for PDF and audio files (WAV, MP3, AIFF, AAC, M4A). To open a file in Mutal Toolkit, use Share → Mutal Toolkit instead. • RF iPhone, Histogram: tapping a band no longer auto-opens the TX Info panel. The "TX Info" button is back in the toolbar (and mirrored on the right when the grid overflows), and the details now appear in a half-to-full-screen bottom sheet. • First launch: removed the "Open your files in Mutal Toolkit" alert that appeared after the splash. • Pro subscription: new "I have a promo code" button to redeem a code directly within the app.
