Buggies is an educational app designed to help children aged 9–11 explore the world of insects through curiosity, discovery, and gradual exposure.
Through engaging stories and small interactive tasks, children learn about insects they might encounter in everyday life, such as moths, cockroaches, and praying mantises. Each journey guides them step by step toward understanding how these creatures live, move, and interact with the environment.
Children begin by choosing an insect character and following a short educational story. Along the way, they complete simple activities that reveal real biological behaviors, such as how moths are attracted to light or how insects use their body parts.
After completing the learning journey, children can observe a detailed 3D model and finally see the insect appear in their own environment using Augmented Reality.
Buggies is designed to transform uncertainty into curiosity, helping children approach nature with confidence.

We improved the app by eliminating a few too many "bugs" that prevented full viewing on all available iPads and activated the music to make the educational experience complete and stimulating!
