Free

The traditional board game from Jakarta's Betawi people — now on iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Pass-and-play, no ads, no signup, no data collected. Just you and a friend. Damdas! brings the traditional Betawi board game from Jakarta to your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Two players, sixteen stones each, one board. About the game Damdas 16 batu has been played in Betawi neighborhoods for generations — kids drawing the board in the dirt, picking up stones, and challenging whoever was around. The rules sit somewhere between checkers and dam-daman, with a board pattern that's unique to Indonesia. How to play • Each player starts with 16 stones • Move one step along the board's lines • Jump over an opponent's stone to capture it • Chain captures in a single turn • If your opponent misses a capture, call "DAM!" — they lose 3 stones • Win when your opponent has no stones left Features • Offline two-player — pass and play on one device • Native iPhone, iPad, and Mac apps built with SwiftUI • Betawi-inspired artwork with ondel-ondel characters, Rumah Kebaya house, and the Monas monument • Built-in tutorial • No ads, no in-app purchases, no accounts, no data collection • Fully offline Why it matters Traditional Indonesian games are slowly fading as kids grow up with screens. Damdas! brings one back to where they actually spend time — keeping the game, the strategy, and the culture alive.
