DICE BACK ON YOUR OWN SIDE The dice sits on each player's side of the rink again in CPU and Pass & Play, instead of sitting on the scoreboard, and it stays put when you switch between rink sizes mid-game. PERIODS AND THE CLOCK After a 3-period game, Play Again now starts a real new match: the period resets to the first and the clock waits for the opening faceoff instead of running before anyone has rolled. ODD MAN RUSH - The accelerator no longer jumps a token straight over a teammate standing in its path - Play Again and Main Menu on the end screen are readable again, and so is the result when a game ends in a draw SOUND The accelerator is heard when the CPU uses one while backchecking for a save. SCOREBOARD - A rotate button in Settings turns the board to face the player across from you, without having to tilt the phone - The rules scroll all the way to the end HOW TO PLAY Scrolls to the last line everywhere it appears, instead of cutting off part way down. SMOOTHER BIGGER RINK The wrap-around animation is as smooth at 125% as it is at full size. YOUR GAME LOG IS SAFER If the saved board-game log can't be read for any reason, it's kept aside rather than overwritten by the next game you log.

TEAM STATS STAY TOGETHER Capitalization and stray spaces no longer split one team's record into two, so your games, wins, and goals all track under a single name. SHARED GAMES LINK UP CORRECTLY When someone shares a game and types a team name you already use, it now attaches to that team instead of quietly creating a duplicate. GAME SUMMARY FIXED The end-of-game card now shows the correct team names and your real record, instead of reporting zero games played. FASTER FACEOFFS IN PASS & PLAY No more waiting after a goal or a save. The next player can roll right away, with a single tap instead of two. SOUND Restored the missing dice roll on breakaways. MENUS AND READABILITY - Settings buttons now fit their text evenly, and the close button is larger and easier to hit - How To Play text scrolls inside the frame instead of spilling over the art - Tap the BackCheckers logo during a game to open settings, and tap it again to go right back

SHARE YOUR GAMES Finished a game? Send it to whoever you played and it lands in their career stats too, once they confirm it. Share by AirDrop, Messages or any app — and it works even if they don't have BackCheckers yet. A NEW LOOK The whole app has been rebuilt on new artwork. Menus, scoreboard, stat screens, win screens and settings now share one design, and the scoreboard has been redrawn to be readable across a table mid-game. BETTER SOUND A referee's whistle at faceoffs, stoppages and the end of periods, organ music between periods, and a re-mixed goal horn, save and shot so they carry over the crowd. HOW TO PLAY The rules are now real text you can read and scroll instead of flat images, with an icon guide showing what every square on the board does. FIXES Breakaway and penalty shot dice were silent — they now have their sound A goal could be credited to the wrong team on the scoreboard if you tapped the other side's score A penalty shot owed at the end of a period is now taken before the period ends instead of being lost Prompt text no longer runs past the edge of its box The screen-rotate button no longer responds mid-move Scores, records and percentages now display their punctuation correctly
