Design your own focus

$0.99

Create your own ambient focus sounds with a retro step sequencer designed in 80's Dieter-Rams style. Tap cells, create ambient soundscapes, and craft your focus ritual. Otoma is a focus-timer, disguised as a step sequencer that turns simple taps into ambient soundscapes. Tap cells on a 10×16 grid, choose from 10 ambient instruments, set a timer, and press play. Your custom soundscape loops while you study, meditate, do yoga, or get any deep work done. Every detail is inspired by Dieter Rams, the 80's legendary designer behind Braun's iconic devices. The retro LCD display, the mechanical button clicks, the speaker grille, the warm off-white body. Otoma doesn't just sound like a real device. It feels like one. No account. No internet required. No data collected. Ever. === WHAT YOU CAN DO === • Tap cells on a 10×16 grid to design ambient sound patterns • Choose from 10 ambient instruments and layer them together • Set a focus timer (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 45, or 60 minutes) • Save up to 20 custom patterns and load them anytime • Start with built-in presets or create something entirely your own • A gentle completion sound when your timer ends === 10 AMBIENT INSTRUMENTS === • Piano • Ambient Drone • Soft Pad • Soft Bells • Lo-fi Bass • Kalimba • Breath Pad • Guitar • Shaker • Rain sounds Each instrument is tuned for ambient listening; warm, textured, and never harsh. Layer them on the grid to create soundscapes that are uniquely yours. === BUILT-IN SOUND PRESETS === Morning Dew, Zen Garden, Rainfall, Wind Chimes, and more. Use them as-is for instant focus, or as a starting point for your own patterns. === DESIGNED LIKE A REAL DEVICE === Otoma is modelled after classic 80s hardware. It's an instrument you want to pick up and play with. • A 16-segment LCD display shows your preset name and timer. • Mechanical click sounds respond to every button press, just like pressing buttons on a physical device. • The 3D body, bevelled edges, and speaker grille complete the illusion. === PERFECT FOR === • Focus and deep work sessions • Studying and reading • Meditation and mindfulness • Yoga and stretching • Relaxation and winding down • ASMR and ambient sound lovers • Anyone who wants background sound without the distraction of music === NO SUBSCRIPTION. NO ADS. EVER. === Most ambient sound apps lock you into monthly subscriptions. Otoma is a one-time purchase. • No trials. • No upsells. • No "premium tiers." • Buy it once and it's yours; on iPhone and Mac. Works entirely offline. Your patterns stay on your device. Nothing is tracked, collected, or uploaded. Your focus is your business.
