Discover the people you've almost met. Almostmet finds when your paths crossed with others using only the photos already on your phone.
Have you ever wondered if you've crossed paths with someone before you actually met them? Almostmet answers that question.
The app scans the GPS metadata from your existing photos and finds moments when you and another user were in the same place at the same time, without you ever knowing it.
No live tracking. No constant location access. Just your photo library, already full of places you've been.
HOW IT WORKS
- Pick any 12 months and scan your photo library - we read only GPS coordinates and timestamps, never the photos themselves
- Choose the same period as your friend to find your crossings
- Your location history syncs privately to your account
- When another user's history overlaps with yours, you get a crossing
- Explore where and when your paths crossed on an interactive map
WHAT YOU'LL FIND
- The exact location and date of each crossing
- How close you were - sometimes just meters apart
- Your photo from that moment
- A shared story with stats: first crossing, favourite places, cities together
YOUR PRIVACY
Photos never leave your device. We only store anonymous coordinate and timestamp pairs, never images. No ads, no data selling, ever.
Almostmet is completely free. No subscriptions, no paywall.
Almostmet is for the curious. People who believe that connections have histories we haven't discovered yet.
