Docklane is a modern file transfer client for macOS that makes managing your web server as easy as using Finder. Connect via FTP, FTPS, or SFTP and browse, upload, edit, and organize all your files in one beautifully designed app.
Dual-Pane File Browser:
Work with local and remote files side by side. Drag and drop between panes, navigate with breadcrumbs, and use Quick Look to preview files without downloading them.
Built-in SSH Terminal:
Open a full terminal session directly in Docklane. Run commands, install software, or use AI coding tools like Claude Code without leaving the app. For SFTP connections, the terminal connects automatically. For FTP/FTPS, simply enter your SSH credentials once and they're saved securely in Keychain.
Edit Files Live:
Double-click any text file to open it in your preferred editor. Docklane watches for changes and uploads them automatically when you save. No more manual download-edit-upload cycles.
File Version Backup:
Never lose work again. Before every upload that overwrites an existing file, Docklane automatically saves the previous version locally. Access up to 10 previous versions per file through the context menu.
Smart Trash System:
Deleted files aren't gone forever. Docklane moves them to a remote trash folder with automatic cleanup after 30 days. Restore files to their original location with one click.
Bookmarks & Quick Connect:
Save your servers as bookmarks with color tags for quick access. Or use the Quick Connect bar to connect instantly. Passwords are stored securely in macOS Keychain.
Backup & Sync:
Set up backup profiles to synchronize folders between your Mac and server. Supports bidirectional sync, exclude patterns, and scheduled runs.

Docklane connects directly to your servers. No cloud, no middleman. Passwords are stored in macOS Keychain. SFTP host keys are verified using Trust On First Use (TOFU). All FTP connections support TLS encryption.
