MorningLock — write first, scroll later.
Your apps stay locked every morning until you journal. Not a timer. Not a guilt trip. A simple deal with yourself.
WHY MORNINGLOCK
Most screen time tools punish you. MorningLock replaces the habit instead. Pick the apps that pull you in — social media, news, video, whatever — and set a morning window. During that window, those apps stay shielded until you write.
Two minutes. Twenty-five words. That's the default. Adjust it anytime.
No leaderboards. No social features. No AI reading your thoughts. Just a quiet boundary between waking up and getting pulled in.
HOW IT WORKS
Choose which apps and categories to shield
Set your morning window
Write — by typing or by voice
Hit your word or time minimum and your apps unlock
YOUR WORDS STAY YOURS
MorningLock never reads what you write. It counts words and time — that's it. Journal entries stay on your device. No account required. Nothing is sent to any server. Privacy isn't a feature we added. It's how the app is built.
SKIP WITHOUT SHAME
Not feeling it? Type "I'm choosing to skip today." Your apps unlock. The day is marked as skipped. It's a conscious choice, not a guilt loop.
HARDCORE MODE
When you want zero temptation, Hardcore Mode keeps your apps shielded for the entire morning window — even after you finish journaling.
EXTEND YOUR FOCUS
Done writing but want to stay off your apps? Tap "Complete and keep apps locked" and choose how long. The shield stays up. You stay present.
JOURNAL PROMPTS
Choose a prompt theme — Health & Wellness, Family & Relationships, Personal Growth, or School & Career — and get a new reflection question each morning. Or pick Free Write and start with a blank page.
