MaximumFit TV brings your personalized fitness program to the big screen.
Pair your iPhone with Apple TV using a simple QR code scan, and your full workout experience instantly appears on the TV — no typing, no setup, no hassle.
WHAT YOU SEE ON TV
• Your weekly workout schedule at a glance — see what's planned for every day of the week
• Real-time workout display during active sessions — current exercise, sets, reps, and rest timers all visible from across the room
• Apple Music integration — browse your playlists, queue songs, and control playback from your iPhone while the TV shows what's playing
HOW IT WORKS
MaximumFit TV is a companion to the GetMaximumFit iPhone app. Your coach or your own program syncs automatically to the TV in real time — every exercise update, every set completion, every rest period reflects instantly on the big screen.
REQUIREMENTS
• MaximumFit app installed and signed in on your iPhone
• Apple TV (4th generation or later) with tvOS
• Both devices on the same network for pairing
MaximumFit TV is included free with your MaximumFit subscription.
more The big screen now shows you exactly what to load.
PLATES ON THE BIG SCREEN
Between sets, your Apple TV shows the plates to load for the next one, so you never have to do the math mid-workout.
WHAT'S NEXT, AT A GLANCE
The rest screen names your next exercise, reps and weight, matching your iPhone exactly.
A NEW REST RING
Choose the progress ring on your iPhone and your Apple TV shows it too.
ALWAYS IN SYNC
Skip your rest on the TV and your iPhone skips with it. Skipped and failed sets stay in step on both screens.
CLEANER, CRISPER TEXT
The TV app now uses MaximumFit's own typeface throughout.
5.5 Sep 30
The TV app now uses the same typeface as the phone. It
shipped with the font bundled but never actually asked
for it, so every screen was rendering in the system font
— narrower, and with a slashed zero on the rest timer.
Everything should look like the rest of MaximumFit now.
The rest timer digits still hold their alignment as the
countdown ticks.
5.3.1 Sep 22
The rest timer now stays in step with your phone. Both screens count down
to the same moment, so the TV can't finish a rest your phone thinks is
still running — even if you put the phone down or switched apps.
Weights show in your units. Training in kilograms now reads as kg on the
TV instead of defaulting to pounds, and per-hand dumbbell loads are
labeled as per-hand so you're not reading half your working weight.
Stability fixes.
5.3 Sep 17
• Adjusted how days of the week are shown on training programs so they line up
with each program's start date.
• Behind-the-scenes improvements to workout sync between your phone and
Apple TV.
5.1.1 Sep 14
MaximumFit 5.0 for Apple TV.
MUSIC WHERE YOU EXPECT IT
The music transport is now reachable straight from the dashboard.
SET MODIFIERS ON SCREEN
Pause, tempo and the rest of your set modifiers now show on the rest timer and
the next-up card, so you can see how the set is meant to be performed without
reaching for your phone.
CARRIES MIRROR CORRECTLY
Per-side carries show their set total, matching what your phone displays.
Version aligned to 5.0 alongside the iPhone release, which brings AI program
coaching, loaded carries, and corrected workout volume totals to the sessions
your TV mirrors.

Performance and bug fixes
4.5.6 Jul 30
Fix a bug where a stale workout session did not close out and would persist into the next day.
4.5.3 Jun 23
What's New
Polish for your Apple TV workouts.
• Timed exercises now read clearly — bike, planks, carries, and other
timed moves show their duration as minutes and seconds (e.g. "5 min",
"30 sec") during your workout, instead of raw seconds.
• Up-to-date home screen — once you finish a workout it no longer lingers
on the dashboard as "today's" workout. The Next Workout card now reflects
what you've already completed.
Thanks for training with MaximumFit on the big screen!
4.5.2 Jun 22
Thanks for using MaximumFit! This update brings smoother
weight tracking and more accurate progress charts:
• Apple Health weight sync everywhere — your AI Coach profile
now pulls your latest body weight from Apple Health
automatically, just like the Profile and Progress screens.
Connect Apple Health once and your weight stays in sync.
• More accurate Lift Trends — bench press variations (like
"Incline Dumbbell Bench Press" and "Incline Dumbbell Press")
now count as the same lift, so your progress and personal
records show up correctly instead of being split apart.
• General performance and stability improvements.
4.5.1 Jun 18
This update keeps the Apple TV app in step with the latest MaximumFit release:
• Performance and reliability improvements
• Smoother focus and navigation with the Siri Remote
• More dependable Apple Music playback and live workout syncing
• Bug fixes and under-the-hood polish
Thanks for training with MaximumFit on the big screen.

Set Techniques
Dial in exactly how each set should feel. Tag individual sets with pause reps, tempo, drop sets, rest-pause, partials, AMRAP, iso holds, or clusters — while building a workout, editing a program, or on the fly mid-workout from the Actions → Set Technique menu (with one tap to apply the technique to every set). Your techniques now show right on the active-workout and summary screens.
Also in this release
• Fixed: adding a set no longer clears the techniques you'd set on it
• Clearer set details — specific rep targets and consistent rest timers across programs
• Apple TV: "Start Station" now works for songs already in your library
4.2.2 Jun 12
New per set modifications shown on Active Workout screen when applied to a set in iOS app.
4.2.1 Jun 11

Selecting a playlist or album from Jump Back In and My Playlists now plays correctly — previously some of your library playlists and albums wouldn't start. Searching for songs, playing individual tracks, and starting stations continue to work as before.
Version aligned with the iOS app (4.2.0).
4.2.0 Jun 5
Fixed some display issues with selected button states when using the Apple TV remote to navigate the app.

Apple TV — What's New in 3.5
Week Plan Overhaul
The program calendar now shows the full 7-day week (previously only showed partial days). It also syncs workout completions from your iPhone in real time — if you finish a session on iOS, it reflects immediately on the TV screen without needing a refresh.
Workout Picker / Plan Display Fix
A display bug in the program plan picker was fixed — workouts were not always rendering correctly in the selection view.
Max Lift Toggle
The Max Lift toggle added to the active workout screen (same feature as iOS) is available on tvOS too.
Stability & Build Fixes
Several under-the-hood fixes that were needed to keep the tvOS build healthy after React Native version bumps:
Gesture handler upgraded and patched for the new Fabric/tvOS API
Reanimated worklets error on launch suppressed
Metro dev server pinned to port 8082 to avoid conflicts with the iOS app
3.5 May 14

• Music screen now shows album artwork correctly after selecting a track or playlist
• Fixed navigation after making a music selection so focus returns to the right place
• Improved tvOS dashboard layout and music browsing experience
• Workout picker screen updates for faster navigation
• Improved active workout session sync with the paired iPhone
• Bodyweight exercise sets now display correctly during active workouts
3.0.3 May 8
Workout sync improvements and new music screen selection screen.
The TV display now stays perfectly in sync with your iPhone throughout your entire workout — including exercises added mid-session. Bodyweight and timed exercises now show the correct labels ("secs" for holds, "BW" for bodyweight moves) instead of defaulting to "reps" across all screens.
Music selection screen is now organized by last songs played, ability to create stations from songs and easier to navigate.
3.0.2 May 7
Redesigned Visual Experience
The app has a completely new look — deep navy backgrounds, teal accent colors, and refined typography using DM Sans throughout. Every screen feels polished and purpose-built for your TV.
Apple Music Integration
Browse your playlists and recent songs directly on the TV. Pick a track to play by song, full album, or artist station — no phone required during your workout.
Now Playing Mini-Player
A compact music widget lives in the corner of every screen. See the current track and artist at a glance while you train, with playback controls always a remote click away.
Superset Support
Exercises grouped as supersets are displayed together during your active workout, so you always know which moves belong to the same block.
Smarter Workout Sync
Edits made during your workout — updated reps, weights, and sets — now save reliably. The dashboard reflects your completed workout the moment you finish, with no stale data.
Live TV + iPhone Pairing
Connect your iPhone to your Apple TV with a QR code. Your active workout syncs in real time between both devices so you can track sets on your phone and see the full session on the big screen.
Focus & Navigation Fixes
Remote navigation is smoother and more predictable. Scrolling large exercise lists, switching between sections, and returning to the dashboard all work without focus getting lost.
