Skipper Cricket: The Ultimate Cricket App with Live scoring, Free Streaming, DRS Cam, Tournaments, Auctions, and Academies.
SCORING: FAST & SIMPLE
- Tap where the ball went. Runs, extras, wickets, free hits and every kind of dismissal, without hunting through menus.
- Score the full match offline and it syncs by itself when you are back in signal.
HD LIVE STREAMING, FOR FREE
- Stream the match to YouTube from one phone on a tripod, with the live score on the video where everyone can see it.
- Wickets and boundaries are clipped automatically as they happen, so the highlights are ready to share before the players have left the ground.
THE TOURNAMENT
- Groups, knockouts, round robin or a full league. Configure Skipper the teams and the format, and the fixtures come out ready.
- The points table and Smart NRR what-if calculator shows any captain exactly what their team needs in the last round to go through.
- Share one link and everyone follows the whole tournament live. Your sponsors go in your slots, and they stay yours.
FOR THE PLAYERS
- Every ball counts towards a profile that grows all season. Runs, wickets, batting average, strike rate, economy, and insights that tell a player something about their game they had not noticed.
- Award cards go out after the match, so the player who won it gets something worth putting on their status.
- Turn your performance into Reel videos
AUCTION NIGHT
- Set your team purses, base prices and bid steps before the night starts, and put the players in the order you want them to go up.
- On the night, the hall watches the big screen while every captain bids live from their own phone. Purses come down as players are sold, so nobody has to shout numbers across the room or keep a total on paper. Each team gets its own war room to plan in, out of sight of the others.
- Team entry fees are collected in the app and paid out to your bank account, and every single bid is kept, so a question two weeks later has an answer.
YOUR ACADEMY
- Your own page with your programs, your facilities and your coaches, so parents looking for an academy can find yours and see what you offer.
- Students, attendance and batches in one place. Fee plans for different programs, invoices raised automatically, and reminders that go out without you having to think about it.
- Monthly fees from academy parents. Skipper raises the invoice, sends the reminder on its own, collects the payment online and pays it into your account.
- You stop chasing people on the phone, and at the end of the season you have a record of every rupee that came in and where it went.
- Because your academy and your cricket run on the same app, a parent does not just get a fee receipt. They see their child's batting average, their profile growing every season, and - Easy monthly subscription tiers based on active students.

Skipper 1.29 brings the academy to life and keeps you closer to the teams you care about.
For academies
- Enrol a student in minutes. Add your own custom fields, capture medical and contact details, and scan the signed paper form straight from the phone.
- Parents hear from you where they already are. Fee reminders, receipts and present, late and absent updates go out on WhatsApp, with SMS as a fallback.
- Book nets, courts and bowling machines, schedule 1:1 sessions and take cash or online payment on the spot.
- Run tournaments, camps and workshops with a step-by-step event builder, and let families register themselves or their kids.
- Open a team store for kit and merchandise.
- Send monthly performance reports to parents with a tap.
For players and fans
- Follow a team. Get a nudge when their match starts and again when the result is in.
- Share tournament schedules and results as clean, ready-to-post cards.
- Share a full match report with one link.
- Pick your sport, any sport. Academies can now offer anything from cricket to kabaddi.
Under the hood
- Faster sync, a smarter update prompt, and fixes across scoring, streaming and tournaments.
1.29.0 5d ago
Cricket Academies are now extended to multi-sport academies or other sports. And as always we keep fixing bugs and making improvements.
Academies
- Run chess, badminton and athletics alongside cricket, with the sport set for each batch, plan and class.
- Every new student gets their own account, confirmed with a code to the parent's phone and the parent's consent.
- Every family is told when you raise a one-off charge for a kit or a camp.
Auctions
- A new auction room for the hall projector and the live stream, with 39 themes you can change while the auction is live.
- Player names, price strips and hall dashboards are shown clearly while bidding is on.
Streaming and matches
- "Stream this match" explains how to set up a second phone as the camera.
- "Go Live" checks your internet first and tells you if the phone is not connected.
- Delete a walkover match, and search teams in "Manage Teams".
Scoring and web
- Score smoothly offline. Your balls upload on their own once you are back online.
- See team records, honours and fielding numbers on skippercricket.com without logging in.

YOUR ACADEMY, RUN FROM YOUR POCKET
This is the big one. Everything an academy does between "a parent calls" and "the fees are in" now lives in Skipper.
ENROL IN ONE FLOW
Start from the family's number. Find the player or create them, pick the batches, assign the fee plan — one flow, one tap to finish. It used to take three separate screens.
ATTENDANCE YOU CAN ACTUALLY READ
Day, month, register and a parent's calendar, all in charts rather than columns. Mark the whole batch at once, or one student at a time as they wander in. Owners can export the month as a PDF for the file.
PAUSE A MEMBERSHIP, PROPERLY
Exams, injury, a month away. Set the dates and the billing stops with them — nobody is charged for time they were not training, and nobody is chased for it either. Billing picks up from the day they come back.
FEES THAT CHASE THEMSELVES
Set your reminder schedule once. Families get one reminder, not one per invoice. Coaches get a nudge when a register goes unmarked. You stop being the person who sends the messages.
PAY BY UPI, SKIP THE PLATFORM FEE
Pick how you want to pay and see both prices before you commit. UPI costs the academy nothing, so we charge nothing for it, and the app says so plainly instead of burying it.
MORE THAN FEES
Matches, tournaments, kit — raise a one-off charge for anything, and see exactly what is pending, what is collected, and who still owes what.
TOURNAMENT LIVE STREAMING
Go live across a whole tournament, not one match at a time. Streams roll on from fixture to fixture, with ad breaks at overs and wickets.
SHARE THE GOOD DAYS
A card for any player, any innings — nine poster designs for the performances worth framing. And a paper scorecard PDF, for the scorer who still likes a file.
THE MATHS, CORRECTED
Some quiet fixes worth naming. A DLS win is now measured against the par that actually decided it. A chase level with par is a tie, not a win. Test matches end on an innings victory in normal batting order. Net run rate stopped recomputing on knockout brackets, where it never belonged.
ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
Ball-tracking review got pinch-zoom and a straight answer when the decoder stalls. Live streaming picked up tournament history and a match picker that finds the game you meant. The public site now shows a live chase strip while you watch.
1.27.0 Sep 24
Find teams easily when creating matches in tournaments.
1.25.1 Sep 9

- Apply tournament playing conditions under Scoring rules so every fixture follows your local rules.
- Expand tournaments up to 1024 teams using Custom, with points tables and fixtures handled for you.
- Add a match already played into any round and let your points table update automatically.
- Find your friends on Skipper in one tap to follow their scores and stats.
- Review close calls right on your phone with instant DRS Cam video replays.
- Keep scoring smoothly even in remote grounds with low connectivity and weak mobile networks.
- Live auction rooms now update instantly as players are sold to keep tournament bidding fast.
- Tournament schedules open faster so players and fans never miss a ball.

STEADIER AUCTIONS, TOUGHER SCORING
Live auctions that stay live
The auction room used to drift out of sync — you would be mid-bid and the screen simply stopped keeping up, and the only cure was force-quitting the app. We found it: the app was quietly holding several connections to the same room at once, and one dying took the healthy one down with it. That is fixed. Bids land faster, the gavel passes cleanly between auctioneers, and the room holds its connection for hours instead of seconds.
Your scoring queue cannot be jammed by one bad ball
A single delivery the server refused could sit at the head of your sync queue and block everything behind it — the rest of the match included. Rejections are now final instead of retrying forever, and the run entry itself is clamped, so a mis-tap cannot create a delivery that gets stuck in the first place.
Team re-entry
Knocked out of the group stage? A team can now be revived into another group of the same stage with a fresh record — while every side they already played keeps their points, their wins and their net run rate in full. No recalculated tables, no lost results.
Sturdier on a bad connection
Cricket does not always happen where the signal is good. The app now survives DNS failures that used to end a session outright, and we fixed a freeze that could catch you on the very first screen after opening.
Plus a long list of smaller repairs across the auction war room, tournament standings and the scoring controls.
Every player counts.
1.23.0 Aug 30
Every angle of the same ball, in one place.
DRS Cam used to work only on the phone holding the camera. Now every clip
of a delivery lives together: switch between angles, put two side by side
to compare, and see stump lines drawn from each camera's own survey rather
than a blended guess. Umpires and coaches can open the gallery on their own
phones without taking over the tripod, and a second phone can record
remotely while the first keeps filming.
Setting up a tournament fixture no longer walks you through four screens.
When the tournament already knows the overs, ground and format, you go
straight to picking your squad, with a strip showing what the match
inherited and an Edit button for the fixture that needs something
different. Grounds now remember their pitch type, so fixtures inherit it
instead of asking you again.
A new MVP board ranks players on batting, bowling and fielding together,
using the same points that decide Player of the Match, so the numbers agree
wherever you see them. Weekly takes your best single match, monthly adds
them up.
Auctions now keep an activity history, so the actions that used to quietly
overwrite each other leave a trail you can read back. Pools, team retention
and a per-player screen make a long auction easier to follow.
Academy attendance asks which batch before you start, so a coach with
several batches is never guessing, and an invited coach can now accept
their invite.
Also in this release: pages load faster on slower connections, live updates
hold steadier through network drops, net run rate is correct for
tournaments that are not 20 overs a side, a two-innings mis-tap no longer
strands a live match, and names written with emoji render properly instead
of crashing the screen.
1.22.0 Aug 27
Running a tournament? The player auction is now built right into it. No more registering players by hand or setting team squads one by one. Put a player on the block, let teams bid live, and every winning bid fills that team's squad for you. Follow it all on a big-screen presentation or a live-stream overlay, while each owner tracks their purse and squad from their own war room.
Plus smoother academy payments and a batch of fixes.
1.21.4 Aug 5
Player auctions: organizers can now collect player registration fees, and registered players can message the auctioneer directly.
Academies: new admin console, staff roles and invitations, stakeholder batch details, and 1-on-1 coaching.
Scoring: faster load and a smoother exit from the scoring screen.
Fixes: Test match summaries now show the correct over count, plus general stability improvements.
1.21.1 Jul 30
New in this release:
- Player Auctions: host a live IPL-style auction with a big-screen and live-stream overlay, real-time bid feed, team purses and a configurable bid timer.
- Live streaming: more reliable go-live with delivery-health monitoring.
- Academy: public pages to showcase your academy and take enquiries.
- Reopen a completed match and revise a chase target mid-innings, plus many scoring and scorecard fixes.

Minor bug fixes
1.12.2 Jun 3
- Sort your squad before match day. Pick your XI ahead of time instead of scrambling at the toss, with a suggested last XI to start from and your recent matches a tap away.
- Tournament points tables that tell the truth. Tapping a team spells out exactly what it needs to qualify.
- Run your groups your way. Add, move or remove teams as the draw changes, with sensible guards once matches are played.
- Match alerts that read like a person wrote them. "Won by 55 runs", the team badge right alongside, and no more double pings.
- Steadier under the hood.
1.12.0 Jun 3
- Tournament qualification scenarios got smarter. The "what if" math for NRR now runs on the server, so the picture of who needs what to qualify stays accurate even when the standings are
tight.
- Streaming holds up better when things go wrong. The camera recovers from glitches mid-broadcast, and restarting a stream leaves nothing hanging around from the last run.
- Some minor bug fixes and improvements
1.11.0 May 23
Verified tournaments. The Skipper team is starting to verify the tournaments we trust. Look for the blue tick next to the name on the Tournaments tab and inside each match's Info card. More
tournaments will pick up the tick over the coming weeks.
Skipper Cricket streaming is invite-only. Last week a couple of streams broke YouTube's rules and put the whole channel at risk. From now on, only approved users can stream on the official
Skipper Cricket channel. Your own YouTube channel is still wide open. If you want Skipper access, there's a Request button on the Stream Setup screen.
Shorter sign-up. We don't ask for your date of birth anymore. You can add it later if you want to play in age-category tournaments.
Come back any time. If you delete your account and change your mind, just sign in again with the same number. Your stuff comes back with you.
Polish
- Stream Setup opens cleaner, less flicker
- Follow button on tournament pages is easier to spot
- Fixed a card layout glitch on small phones
1.10.0 May 21
Pro Streaming is here. Drop our overlay URL into OBS, vMix or Prism and your live scorecard appears on stream, with ten themes to pick from. Going live is also easier to find on every live match, and a new explainer tells you exactly what you need to start streaming. A few visual polish touches around the live screen too.
1.9.0 May 18
v1.8.1 — Follow your favourites!
NEW: Follow matches, players, and tournaments. Get live & end notifications right on your home screen. Share a match link to auto-follow on the recipient's phone.
