MeowTube: Shorts Blocker
Block Shorts, Stop Scrolling
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Shorts blocked before they reach your screen. MeowTube removes short-video feeds, so you watch what you came for, then put your phone down. Set a daily limit.
Short videos are designed to keep you scrolling. One clip becomes twenty, and twenty minutes become an hour.
MeowTube is a web browser for video, music and social websites that removes the endless feeds. You still watch, listen and keep in touch: you just stop doomscrolling.
SHORTS, BLOCKED
Shorts are blocked before they reach your screen: Shorts cards disappear from the home page and search results, the Shorts tab is gone, and a Shorts link takes you back home instead of into the endless swipe feed. With MeowTube Pro, Short videos are blocked on social networks too.
WHAT GETS REMOVED
• Shorts and short-video feeds
• Suggested videos and autoplay rabbit holes
• Thumbnails that pull you in: blur them, or switch to black and white
WHAT YOU KEEP
• The videos and music you actually searched for
• Your subscriptions, playlists and messages
• Background listening with the screen locked
• Picture-in-picture while you use other apps
• Your Library: bookmark videos and songs, organize them in folders, pick up where you left off
TAKE BACK YOUR TIME
• A daily time limit with a live gauge
• A lock when the limit is reached
• Usage stats for every site, day by day
EARN YOUR NEXT VIDEO
Want short videos on a social network anyway? Turn on challenges. The MeowTube cat counts every video you watch today, and every three videos it asks for a quick challenge before the next one:
• Push-ups, counted by the front camera
• Connect the dots, quick maths, logic puzzles or a line of code
• Easy, medium or hard: you choose
HOW IT WORKS
MeowTube is a browser: you choose the websites you want on your home screen, and every site opens at its official address. MeowTube hides short-video feeds and suggestions inside the page, so you can use each site with intention instead of on autopilot.
