Boring Meeting – Private Meeting Recorder & Transcriber.
Turn any meeting into plain text — automatically, privately, and offline!
Record audio from Zoom, Teams, Google Meet, or any app. Transcription runs entirely on your Mac using Whisper AI — nothing is uploaded, nothing is shared.
Why Boring Meeting?
You sit through another hour of meetings that could've been an email — then spend twenty more minutes typing up notes. Boring Meeting fixes the second part. It transcribes everything locally on your Mac using Whisper AI, so nothing ever touches the cloud. No account, no subscription, no IT ticket about data leaving the building. Just record, transcribe locally, then feed the text into your AI assistant for a summary — or read it yourself.
Key Features:
- Records system audio and microphone simultaneously
- 32 transcription languages including English, German, French, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, Chinese, and more
- Multiple local AI models: from fast & lightweight to high‑accuracy large‑v3 turbo
- One‑click recording from the menu bar
- Plain text output — paste into your AI assistant, notes app, or anywhere else
- Background recording — switch apps freely while recording continues
Requires Apple Silicon (M1+)
100% Private by Design
No accounts. No cloud. No data collection. Transcription works offline — your conversations never leave your Mac. No corporate IT concerns about data leakage.
