CineLutLiveGrade is a professional on-set live grading and recording app for filmmakers, colorists, and DITs who need to see the final look while the camera is still rolling. Connect your SDI/HDMI camera through a capture card that macOS sees as a camera (or use a USB/built-in camera), grade in real time, and record graded ProRes clips ready for editorial and dailies—directly from your Mac.
Unlike offline-only grading tools, CineLutLiveGrade is built for live work. You see what the camera delivers, with your 3D LUTs and CDL-style primaries applied, plus waveform, parade, histogram, and vectorscope updating as you work. Looks stay consistent across takes, and what you record is what the editor can use.
Build looks with .cube LUTs and ASC CDL-style controls (exposure, contrast, lift/gamma/gain, saturation, curves, and secondary hue). Choose pipeline order (CDL then LUT, or LUT then CDL), use Original / Bypass / Graded view, and manage exposure with professional scopes and assist modes. Record live with Graded (bake LUT+CDL) or Raw plate (ungraded pass-through), optional burn-in for timecode and reel/scene/take, and flip/crop/desqueeze for delivery. Import and export CDL and LUT files, save and recall presets, use three look slots (A/B/C), and keep a shot library of stills so visual intent stays consistent across the production.
For dailies and post, CineLutLiveGrade can export:
• Graded ProRes (or compatible) clips with the look baked in—or Raw plate when you need an ungraded master.
• CDL, AMF, and .cube LUT files for other systems (Silverstack, Resolve, and similar).
• EDL + CDL packages so each event can get its own CDL.
• Multi-slot CDL/LUT packages for multi-cam looks.
Choose whether to bake the look into media for editorial, or hand off CDL/AMF/.cube metadata that downstream tools can apply precisely.
CineLutLiveGrade is built for macOS with a dark, focused UI for a DIT cart or workstation. The layout follows a real on-set pipeline: Source (File or Live), Look, Presets, Export, Record, Scopes, Shot Library, and EDL/dailies handoff—so you can work top to bottom without hunting for controls. Live input uses standard macOS camera devices (including capture cards via vendor drivers). The app does not embed DeckLink/AJA SDKs, does not use NDI, and does not drive graded SDI/HDMI monitor out—use a hardware LUT box on a parallel path when talent needs near-zero-latency monitoring.
All core processing stays on your Mac. No account required. No cloud required for grading.
