A private iPhone control surface for your CARAPACE Mac gateway, projects, agents, voice, vision, and long-running workflows for OpenClaw and Hermes.
CARAPACE turns your iPhone into a private control surface for your OpenClaw or Hermes Agent.
Connect to your CARAPACE Mac gateway and use your phone to chat, speak, see, capture context, manage projects, review agents, and run longer tasks from anywhere your secure network can reach. CARAPACE is built for people who want a personal operating layer that stays connected to their own machines, files, projects, and workflows.
With CARAPACE you can:
Chat with your personal agent
Send messages, follow long-running responses, and keep conversations tied to your active workspace.
Use voice and camera context
Speak naturally, share visual context, and get help based on what you are looking at or working on.
Manage projects
Track active projects, workstreams, progress, and next steps from your phone.
Monitor agents
See which agents are active, idle, or working, and move between specialized workspaces.
Run longer tasks reliably
CARAPACE is designed for real work that may take time, including research, file operations, builds, debugging, and multi-step workflows.
Stay connected securely
CARAPACE works with your private gateway and supports secure remote access through your own network setup.
Upgrade as your setup grows
Start with a smaller device limit, then upgrade as you add more machines and workflows.
CARAPACE is not a generic chatbot. It is a remote interface for your own personal OpenClaw or Hermes.
Requires the CARAPACE Mac or Linux gateway to be installed and configured on an OpenClaw or Hermes setup.
Still testing things out, more detailed review to come. Would it be possible to use in device STT instead of the one that sends audio clips to Apple? The current one indicates it uses Apple STT, better than nothing but some users won’t use it.
Developer Response
That was the original plan, but it just was really variable stability wise, especially with the recent voice upgrades last week in OpenClaw. And OpenClaw is unstable its self currently with a bad tui race bug. So I decided to go what is the easiest for someone not tech savvy. Originally was a bridge from Gemini live, but tool calls kept dropping. Planning on rolling this out in the future though because it just sounds so much better. I download the premium Lee Australian voice , I think that’s the best at the moment. And a couple little bugs in testing this build that I missed including an update to voice handling and text streaming. I appreciate you and thanks for testing it! -Mike
