• For students: an interactive Moon-phases lesson with a short quiz
• Hijri ⇄ Gregorian date converter (Umm al-Qura)
CRESCENT VISIBILITY

• Moon age, illumination, elongation and lag time after sunset
• Altitude chart from sunset to moonset, plus an azimuth compass
• Compare visibility across several cities at once

Astronomical calculations are an aid — the official start of the month is decided by the authority in your country.
Ratings & Reviews
Stability fixes: the Sky Map camera now starts reliably after granting permissions and when leaving and returning quickly, and crescent calculations work for any date, even outside the Umm al-Qura calendar range (before 1937 or after 2077).
