God Before Scroll
PUT GOD BEFORE THE SCROLL
God Before Scroll helps Christians pause with Scripture and prayer before opening distracting apps. Instead of falling straight into the feed, take a short sacred pause, reconnect with God, and choose what to do next with intention.
Choose the apps that distract you.
Complete a prayer or Scripture pause.
Unlock them for a limited time.
This is more than another Bible app. It is a Christian screen-time habit built for the exact moment distraction begins — before you scroll.
TURN DISTRACTION INTO DEVOTION
Your phone should not pull you away from God.
Each pause helps you read a timely Bible verse, pray about how you feel, breathe and reset your attention, reflect before returning to your phone, and decide whether scrolling is still worth it.
You are not only blocking an app. You are replacing an automatic habit with a meaningful one.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Choose distracting apps — social media, entertainment, games, news, shopping, or anything that pulls you away from God, peace, family, or prayer.
2. Create your commitment — guided prayer timer, “I prayed” confirmation, Bible-reading confirmation, prayer walk, or personal commitment plan.
3. Pause before opening — when you try to use a selected app, God Before Scroll creates a short moment to stop before entering the feed.
4. Pray and receive Scripture — read a verse, follow a guided prayer, or complete your devotion. Personalized prayers can reflect how you feel.
5. Return with intention — after your pause, selected apps unlock for the time you earned. When the window ends, your commitment begins again.
PERSONALIZED PRAYER
Tell God how you feel and receive a Scripture-grounded prayer for your current season — short enough for everyday life, warm and Christ-centered, focused on returning your attention to God.
BUILD A REAL HABIT WITH GOD
Track your walk without shame or pressure. Your Journey shows days you put God first, prayer streaks, completions, time returned to God, journal reflections, weekly progress, and grace days for imperfect weeks.
BIBLE CHAT & REFLECTION
Ask questions about Scripture, faith, prayer, doubt, forgiveness, temptation, or everyday struggles. After prayer, use guided journal prompts to record what changed and what you want to carry into your day.
PRAY WITH OTHERS
Share prayer requests on the Prayer Wall, encourage others with Amen, and invite an accountability partner to build a devotion streak together.
