A small maintenance release. Notifications now run on a leaner, more private system, and you can choose in Settings whether to receive CarLog app updates, separate from your maintenance reminders.
Drive safe out there.

A quick tune-up for the pump scanner.
When one reading catches every digit and another comes up a digit short, the scanner now sides with the complete one instead of calling it a tie. Fewer near-misses on that last cent or that last thousandth of a gallon.
Drive safe out there.
1.32 Sep 5
Ever wonder how long your pit stops really take? CarLog now times each fill-up and shows it right on the fuel entry — your own personal pit crew stopwatch.
The pump scanner got sharper too: that stubborn last digit lands right even more often, and flashy promo banners next to the display can't sneak into your numbers anymore.
Drive safe out there.
1.31 Aug 14
More fine-tuning at the pump.
The scanner got smarter about which reading to trust, so that stubborn last digit — the one glare loves to mess with — lands right more often. And those reversed black-screen displays now get spotted even when they only fill part of the frame.
Plus the usual polish under the hood. Drive safe out there.
1.30 Jul 17
Two new tricks this time around.
Auto-Backup: flip it on and CarLog quietly keeps a fresh backup there every time your data changes. Set it, forget it, sleep better.
Pump Scanner: those reversed displays with bright digits on a black screen used to leave it staring blankly. Now it reads them like any other pump.
Plus the usual polish under the hood.
Drive safe out there.
1.29 Jul 12
The pump scanner learned some new tricks.
That little mystery where a scan sometimes came out a penny off? Found it. Fixed it. And now that readings land on the money, the scanner locks in automatically again once it's sure of what it sees — pickier than ever about what counts as "sure."
iPad drivers, you're in on the fun too: pump scanning now works properly on the big screen, in any orientation.
Plus the usual polish under the hood. Drive safe out there.
1.28 Jul 4
Forget to bump the odometer before saving a fill-up? CarLog now catches you in the act.
If the reading still matches your last fill-up, or you've somehow racked up a tankful that works out to 1,000 MPG, you'll get a friendly tap on the shoulder before the entry sneaks in. You can still save anyway when you really did go that far between visits.
Plus the usual polish under the hood. Drive safe out there.
1.27 Jun 30
Lifetime MPG, calculated the way you'd actually do it.
The average MPG on your dashboard now uses total miles driven divided by total gallons burned across every fill-up — the same arithmetic you'd do on the back of a receipt. The old formula took a simple mean of each tank's MPG, which let a quick city fill weigh the same as a 400-mile highway run, and that's not how the wallet works. If you've ever stared at the lifetime number and thought "that doesn't match my actual costs," it does now.
The Settings tab is also now "More" — with the iOS-standard ellipsis — because it's been doing more than settings for a while.
Drive safe out there.
1.26 Jun 16
Same gas station, multiple fill-ups? They now stack properly on the map.
What used to look like a single pin (with all the other visits hidden underneath) is now a cluster with a count badge — tap it and see every fill-up at that spot.
The pump scanner got another tune-up too: tap-to-focus, sharper close-ups, and a steadier read when the display is glaring back at you.
Plus the usual polish under the hood. Drive safe out there.
1.25 Jun 3
The pump scanner got a serious tune-up.
Sharper camera, smarter readings, and a much better grip on which value to trust when the display is dim or full of glare. Fill-ups that used to need a manual fix should mostly auto-fill now.
Plus the usual round of polish under the hood. Drive safe out there.
1.24 May 26
Smarter pump scanner — fewer fill-ups you have to fix by hand.
Reassigning a part or service to a different car got a cleaner, friendlier picker.
Plus a fresh coat of polish under the hood. Drive safe out there.

New in v1.22
iCloud sync just got way more reliable. Smarter pump scanning in tricky conditions. The scanner now handles faint or sun-washed LCDs much better thanks to an updated pipeline.
• Service Providers, Cleaning Products, and Parts Inventory now open in an Apple Contacts–style view — read first, tap Edit to change. No more accidental edits.
• Tap any photo to view it full-screen with pinch-to-zoom.
• Tapping a photo in edit mode now opens the photo menu directly (no more long-press).
• Photos and provider thumbnails finally show up in the Service Providers list.
• Catches faded digits on older pumps
• Rejects conflicting reads instead of locking on a wrong value
• Auto-fills your total and gallons with fewer retries
Thanks for all the real-world scans — keep them coming, they're what made these fixes possible.
