TruckTalk Academy is a bilingual English training app built specifically for Spanish-speaking CDL drivers preparing for CVSA Level 1 DOT inspections.
Every lesson follows the exact sequence of a real roadside inspection, teaching drivers the vocabulary, phrases, and responses they need to communicate confidently with officers from the first greeting through signing the inspection report.
The curriculum is structured in three parts:
Part A covers the officer interview across 8 modules: greetings and first contact, documents, CDL credentials and endorsements, hours of service and ELD, your route, cargo and securement, vehicle condition (engine, brakes, lights, tires, and coupling), and wrapping up with violations and sign-off.
Part B covers road sign recognition across 5 modules with real sign photos: regulatory signs, warning signs, highway and navigation signs, construction and work zone signs, and weigh station and commercial vehicle signs.
Part C covers emergencies and certification: reporting breakdowns, accidents, medical issues, and road hazards, followed by a 90-question certification exam that simulates a complete Level 1 inspection from start to finish.

Drivers who complete all modules and pass the certification exam earn the TruckTalk ELP Certificate, documenting compliance with the English Language Proficiency standard in 49 CFR 391.11(b)(2).
