A new icon and a clearer dining experience. Find menu photos, dining preferences, saved dishes and past meals more easily. Recommendations put dish names, descriptions and prices together, with direct access to bill splitting. This update also improves camera cancellation, preserves decimal prices and prevents incomplete bills from being marked complete.

Nothing you can see changed in this one. We could not tell how many people open Apertize, or whether the upgrade screen ever loads its prices — the app has been reporting almost nothing since June. This release fixes the measurement, so the next one can fix the right thing.

Prices now match the menu you photographed. If you set a budget in one currency and photographed a menu printed in another, the dish prices were labelled with your budget's symbol — a ¥970 grilled fish read as €970. The app now reads the currency off the menu itself.

Apertize now says what it is for: restaurant menus. Same app, clearer name in the places people search. If you have ever stood in front of a menu you could not read, this is the one for that.

A quiet fix. When you rate a recommendation four or five stars, Apertize now asks — once — whether you'd rate the app too. Those stars used to go nowhere.
