Create a new note instantly with a global shortcut, turn clipboard text into a note and keep writing in a lightweight floating window designed for quick capture. Reopen recent notes from the menu bar, browse everything in a searchable archive and manage notes with quick actions like copy, archive, and delete.
Features:
- Global hotkeys for new notes, clipboard notes, and opening the archive
- Floating note window for fast capture from anywhere
- Plain text editing with local autosave
- Searchable note archive with quick actions
- Recent notes in the menu bar
- Customizable hotkeys, font and window color themes
- Local storage only, with no account or sync required
Sidepad is built for temporary thoughts, copied snippets, task fragments, and quick writing that should be easy to save and just as easy to retrieve later.
