FileBit is a military-grade file vault for macOS. Drop in any file and it's instantly sealed with AES-256-GCM encryption, the same standard used by banks and defense agencies. Unlock with your password or Touch ID. Nothing ever leaves your Mac.
UNCOMPROMISING ENCRYPTION
Every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key derived through PBKDF2 with 600,000 iterations. Your vault password never touches a server. It exists only in memory while your vault is open, then it's gone.

Your vault opens in a tap. FileBit stores your credentials in the Secure Enclave via the macOS Keychain, biometric-protected and hardware-secured, never exposed.
TAMPER DETECTION BUILT IN
Every encrypted file gets a SHA-256 integrity hash. FileBit checks it automatically on decryption. If anything has been altered, you'll know immediately. No silent corruption.
SHARE ENCRYPTED FILES
Need to send a secure file to someone? Re-encrypt it with a custom password and share the .fbit file. The recipient opens it in FileBit using the password you shared. Simple and secure.
SHRED FILES FOR GOOD
Don't just delete, destroy. The built-in shredder overwrites files three times with zeros, ones, and random data before removal. Forensic recovery isn't possible.
NEVER FORGET YOUR PASSWORD
A 12-word recovery phrase is generated at setup. Write it down, store it safely, and you can always recover your vault even if you forget your password entirely.
