Reader profiles are now safer to manage: children can choose, add, and rename profiles in the regular profile picker, while deletion is available only in the protected parent area. IMPROVED • A dedicated profile management screen brings renaming and deletion together with clear confirmation. • The child-friendly profile picker stays free of destructive actions. FIXED • If the active or final profile is deleted, Better Reading automatically selects an existing reader or creates a fresh empty profile. The learning flow and local data remain consistent without a dead end.

Reader profiles can now be renamed directly from the profile picker, while all learning progress, color themes, and settings stay exactly where they belong. NEW • A dedicated swipe action opens renaming. Empty and duplicate names are reliably prevented. IMPROVED • Letter Pairs now uses only the clear, prerecorded example word for each sound. Short or easily confused letters such as E, H, L, and N are easier to understand. • After a mismatch, another card can be chosen immediately: the open pair closes and the newly selected card turns over in one calm step. FIXED • Profile names now stay within the layout across the home screen, learning summaries, rankings, and local or network duels—even on the smallest supported iPhones.

NEW • All 2,220 words across the German and English learning worlds now have consistently produced recordings, fully offline with a gentle Slow option. • Custom or unavailable words still fall back automatically to the selected Apple voice. IMPROVED • Every recording received a systematic pronunciation audit, with difficult words refined individually. • Playback, repeat, pause, and cancellation now use the same stable audio pipeline throughout the app. • Dictation keeps the media session active between words, so the hardware volume buttons continue to control playback. • Bluetooth routing and transitions between playback and speech recognition are more robust.

Nox’s Book Journey is more vivid and easier to follow in version 2.0. NEW • The complete journey now has warm German and English narration—from the opening mission and route stories to recaps, rewards, stage completions, and the finale. Everything stays offline and readable on screen. • A stage keeps the same activity from start to finish. Between stages, a balanced selection of suitable modes adds variety. IMPROVED • Permanent achievements are clearly grouped by solved tasks, correct-answer streaks, exploration, and cumulative practice days. • Collectible achievements are clearly separated from the three-feather rating for one completed round. • Book Journey progress reflects durable word-world mastery and resumes reliably after an interruption. • German and English learning worlds received another careful editorial review. • Game and journey layouts are refined for compact devices, accessibility, and longer text.

New optional syllable colors make two-syllable words in the German First Reading world easier to scan. Turn on the high-contrast aid when helpful; one-syllable words and later word worlds remain unchanged. NEW • Two-color syllable support for suitable German beginner words IMPROVED • The clear, highly readable ABeeZee typeface is now the default for learning words and letters. Regional school-handwriting styles remain available. • Each reader profile now remembers its own word world, activity, play style, timing, and filters, so every learner can continue with the setup that suits them.
